Haggard is amazing! But there's something wrong with their production (I think it's the production, I'm not good with the technical stuff, haha). The orchestra, classical and that kind of stuff are very clear but the metal parts sound as if the are of a lower quality recording. If that makes sense. I would still strongly recommend to at least check them out, though. As for the album to start with, basically everyone thinks their best album is Eppur Si Muove. I personally prefer their newest album, Tales of Ithiria. I think their sound is very similar so either one of those albums will do. :)

I actually went ahead and listened to Meredead already. I don't listen to a lot of folk metal but I really liked it. Maybe even more than Njord. We'll see what happens when I listen to them some more. And Vinland Saga definitely sounds interesting based on what you said. I'm gonna check it out very soon.

Yeah, it was really good. I used to listen to Lovelorn back in like... 2008, I think. It didn't actually sound quite as good anymore, I liked Njord way more now. Recently I've been really into like huge orchestrations and choirs (Epica, Haggard-esque stuff), sort of more epic kind of stuff. Njord is definitely closer to that. So I will definitely keep listening to the entire album and see if some of the songs will grow on me. I thought I'd get a little more familiar with Njord and then check out Vinland Saga and Meredead, too. :)

I love Narnia, but for me, Narnia is only with the Christian Rivel, then I did not give importance to the last record released haha Rivel has a CD called "Ett Liv Jag Fått Leva" and another band called "Flagship". Neither are metal, but I like! :D Random Eyes Do I recommend the album "Invisible." I hope you enjoy.
