I didn't get Slates, sadly. My mother got confused while ordering from Amazon and got This Nation's Saving Grace instead, which I already own. I think I'll exchange it for Slates, though. Holidays kick ass.

Grotesque: wow. Liked it right away. It was more immediate than the other three I own.

Lordy, Mark E. Smith is one hideously fugly bugger. And as talented as is he is attractive.

I haven't heard slates or grotesque yet, but I'll have 'em in a week! aaand, flips: I'm wearing a Flaming Lips T-shirt right now, which makes me qualified to say that Clouds Taste Metallic is my favorite album from the band and that you need to listen to it immediately. right right?

You were right... I'm an official the Fall addict now, I guess. While I'm here, I'll say this: transmissions ROCKS.

Sonic Youth were great, in good form, which was nice as the last time I saw them they were no so good. They'd brought their own sound guy who did a great job, every instrument was crystal clear but all the other bands had the same guy who wasn't so good. Keep your eye on the ATP site so you don't miss out next time Tom!

Hi Tom. ATP Nightmare Before Xmas was fantastic! Gang of Four were the best band of the festie for me though the Stooges and MC5 were great too.

Obsession? I could see that happening. I already find myself listening to either Mere Pseud Mag. Ed., The Classical, or Iceland every morning on my drive to school. A few more albums will surely seal the deal.

Grotesque, Perverted By Language (which I've recently grabbed from the 'net), and Slates. It's crap that you're not my neighbour any more -- I love most of the things you listen to.

I have The Fall's Jerusalem single. The previous owner didn't exactly make sure it would never bend, or get dust over it though =/

Personally if I could start my life again I'd chronologically buy Melvins albums.

Some things after an excruciating while you just have to purchase off the internet. I found Gluey Porch Treatments but it was about £18. I may love the Melvins but I'm no fool. Carry on searchin'.

Ah, now it's saying Super for me too. Must have suddenly changed. I got my ticket for the Nightmare ages ago and it did sell out over a few months. Shame you didn't see it in time. I'm looking forward to seeing the same bands you mention! Will be a strange experience seeing Sonic Youth and the Stooges in a Butlins holiday camp!

Thanks. From Beat Happening I only have Jamboree and You Turn Me On, the latter being cleaner and more accessible. I'd still say you should start with Jamboree, though, it being my personal favorite between the two. So try it, I guess. If you don't like what you hear, give You Turn Me On a listen. I'm sure you'll like one of the two -- probably both.
