i was thinking more faust/amoon duul II but yea neu aswell. theres fuck all krautrock in germany, much easier to find in the uk which must be embarrassing. na pixies have some classics but the muses are just more accomplished, first album really is flawless. they played together quite a lot tho. shimmer, start and hazing are good but it just sounds like standard 80s college rock

sounds right up my street, i hear little about it but what i do sounds good. yea the debut is fucking brilliant, every single track is like a two for one bargain. wasnt too impressed with university tho, was like half a great album. they shit on the pixies anyway. thanks, urs are looking pretty good too, its reminding me of a lot of krautrock i need to get

You asked me a month or so ago of what Jah Wobble album to acquire and I never responded. I do apologise and I present you with this Wobble tune: http://www.sendspace.com/file/4gm6g7

Cool :) I guess what you meant is my tastes are too mainstream and i probably hadn't heard of them :P Don't worry i know my tastes are too mainstream, i'm just trying to expand them a bit. Atm all i listen to is basically acoustic and folk singer-songwriters and post-punk bands :/

thanks for the rec, and nice hearing from you. I'm in college now, away from the world of torrents and OINKs -- you think you could set me up with a link for witchcraft rebellion?

Isn't it called King's Crossing? Also no, and I don't intend to. It can only be a step downward

Ah, thanks but i think i'm going to take a different slant on where i go next. I still have this undying singer-songwriter bug :P I'm especially into female acts right now like PJ Harevy, Cat Power and Joni Mitchell. Also, for some reason prog metal, i never thought i'd like it, but the little i've heard it brilliant!

And of course I'd be happy to send you anything in return. You can look at my RYM for the albums I have.

That'd be awesome if you could, thanks. Just send me whichever one you think I need most, I like their weirder stuff as well as their not so weird stuff, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Yeah, most of the music I LISTEN to is 00s. And The Fall are awesome. A few of those albums are on there because you recommended them. Speaking of which, what Fall abums should I get now? I ahve Hex Induction Hour, Grotesque, Reformation and This Nation's Saving Grace. I was thinking of getting Live at the Witch Trials, but what do you think?

haha okay tom!! well it also warms my heart to see someone who's interested in superchunk... :D i'm a huge fan as you may have noted, they're my second favorite. anyway my favorite album by them is 'foolish', which sounds a bit different than their 'ordinary' rocky sound, but in a good way. very emotional... and while you're at it also check out 'incidental music 1991-95', archetypal superchunk.

Oh, most certainly, yes! I'm trapped in the early 80's, though. That's where I started with the band, and what are now my most treasured recordings take place in that time period. I have a shit-ton of albums from other Fall eras on my computer, but just can't get into them. Any ones in particular I should pay close attention to, with this love for the early 80's sound in mind?
