I never played that one to be fair, started out with the 99/00 edition if I remember correctly and got hooked. Where did you find those data updates? Because I'd like to get back to FM 2013 shortly after the closure of this transfer window (wasn't too impressed with last year's edition). Would be nice if I knew how to get the thing running post-World Cup style. Speaking of CM: do you, by any chance, remember this fella? He was a real bargain back in the days, a fantastic man marking defender and cheap as fuck. Got fond memories of him as well by the way (and let's not forget about one of my favourite Nigerians while we're at it).

Well, the Dutch didn't really give that much away either to be fair (but yeah, I get your point). Overall a deserved victory for Argentina though, I think they were very well organized as a team. Not sure why Messi was given the award of Best Player, however... we both know that it should've been Hulk. I'm not much of a 'Hunter' (ridiculous nickname) fan by the way. Sure, he can score goals - which is important of course - but Van Nistelrooy was at least three classes better when he was in his prime if you ask me. Then again, RVN was a world class striker, so there's no shame in that. Love Sly Stone, always have, so 'Stand!' ain't no mystery to me. And I don't play Fantasy Premier League, but I used to be hooked to the Championship/Football Manager games if that counts? I dedicated hundreds and hundreds of hours to that stuff, but the times they are a-changin' I guess... oh, and congrats on the 200+ pounds! Did you spend it already?

Hummels seems to be quite injury prone though, he's not the sort of player you can always count on - as opposed to my penalty taking man 'Concrete Ron' Vlaar. Heard a rumour that Ronaldo (the Portugese, not the real one) is set to return to United, but I guess that's not gonna happen. However, Bale and Jesé could benefit from it if you ask me. Seems like you've been having a good week with the Fantasy League! If only Özil had made that 8-0... sure, he's got a nice technique and all that, but the kid is pretty much incapable of scoring goals. I did enjoy Schürrle's performance I must say, he might just be one of the most underrated (and efficient!) players in the world right now. Would rather have him than Van Persie to be honest, who will always be a bit of a 'choker' in front of the goal just when you need him the most. Skillful as fuck, but not a natural finisher.

Yeah, Rooney is the kind of player you should cherish if you ask me (although he does earn too much money in my opinion). He's capable of covering a lot of distance and is also a fantastic passer like you said, so it'd make perfect sense to put him in midfield. Seems like he ain't too happy being used as a CM himself though, so I don't really see it happen to be honest. I'm curious as to see what Van Gaal is going to do with him next season. By the way, I read that Falcao is going to sign for Real Madrid and that our boy James Rodriguez (liquid football against Uruguay!) would love to play for them as well. Not at the cost of Benzema and Di María I hope?

Of course they're overpaid, but let's face it: they all play in the Premier League... you can't really blame them for taking the money they get offered by the clubs, right? Rooney was a bit unlucky, but he's still a great player I think. Would you play him as a striker or as an attacking midfielder though? Because it seems like he won't be making a lot of minutes up front for his club next season given the competition he's facing (Van Persie, Welbeck, maybe even Chicharito) and rumour says he's unhappy with his current position. Maybe he should just sign for Chelsea after all if they're still interested, which I doubt now that his weekly wage has gone through the roof. On a different note, Bosnia and Herzegovina should've totally qualified for the next round. I really enjoyed their performance against Nigeria, too bad the referee and the linesmen didn't...

Well result-wise they have been, I won't deny that... but I think Mexico will make it to the next round based on the performances so far. And I'm not going to the BJM show, I just hit the 'Interested' button quite a while ago but didn't end up buying a ticket. Also, I'm sorry about England. Future's looking bright with all these youngsters though.

Davor Šuker, Patrick Vieira, Ronaldo (the real one), Luc Nilis, Claudio López, Pablo Aimar... those were the days, you know. A golden time for football.

Arsenal, PSV and Valencia, mostly because of the players they used to have in the past. I'm not much of a die-hard though, seems a bit silly to let a result influence your mood.

I've known about that album for years actually, been a while since I last listened to it though. I'll make sure to check out Pop Crimes as well, thanks for recommending. And speaking of eggs: there's no doubt in my mind that you're gonna love this video!

Well at least Beckham was a quality player, as opposed to this (overrated) kid. A fine Eredivisie midfielder, but not much more. Lovin' the new display picture by the way, let's just hope Last.fm won't find it too eggstreme... now, what's your opinion on Daniel Egger?

Haha yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he has written that down himself (well I would be actually, given the fact that he can't even spell). I must say I'm quite fond of my username as well: it's better than Bartistuta or Barthez, I guezz. Hope you're still eggstatic with yours?
