Do you feel it?
23 jan. 2009, 3h02mThe feeling of your feet being absorbed by the soft carpet as you shimmy to the Lady Gaga song that's hit the streets and now the airwaves. The second of joy you feel when a song you love hits your eardrums a second time. The shuffle button, the winamp skin, leaving your visualizations full screen on your monitor while you dance in the dark with your huge headphones on. A maniac to everyone but yourself. There's a movement inside you that flies out your near thrashing limbs.
Do you feel it?
10 jui. 2008, 0h36mThere's more to musical taste than a list of genres you're interested in. It's more than a band or two that catches your interest. It's about what -resonates- within you. Music has become about what's 'popular' and 'following a genre' and less about feeling the beat and the notes hit your conscious dancing mind.
Music is personal, and when it becomes about charts, being cool and having an image, it loses its good magic. Just feel it. And it will inadvertently have an effecton you, on people, and on things around you.
Music is the illogical, undefined, peace and war inducing answer to common logic, form and function.
8 jan. 2008, 3h42mI've mostly been a radio-hit girl my whole life, being unable to purchase cd's until recently. I've began this whole new muscial rite of passage, listening to whole CD's and finding all new songs by artists I've loved for their popular music. I've also began my departure from enjoying rap and hip-hop back to appreciating the classical pieces that I used to like back in high school. I still can enjoy a Jay-Z song now and again, but I've simply been entranced by music from artists like Yo-Yo Ma.
I highly suggest you check out Silk Road Journeys. It's one of my new favorite albums. :)
