ha ha, it doesn't surprise me that Apollo is living in sweden, he was all about the T & A. The current state of british hip hop is pretty low in my opinion. Maybe i'm just a snob, but compared to the older stuff, its not that interesting. A lot of guys seem to have shut up shop, sundragon, braintax, tommy evans. Although taskforce are still putting out good stuff, and jehst is still on great form. Its a pity some guys just never seemed to get off the ground, I've got a lot of quality 12" of random crews and stuff who never seemed to do much else. Microdisiacs, The Colony, RUP, stuff like that. You know suspectpackages.com? They put out a couple of great mix cd's, can't remember what they're called, but i've got em on mp3 if you want the link.

I'll definitely check out the instrumental and accapella stuff! The Champions of Nature album is the fucking daddy. What a collective eh? Apollo, Sundragon (aka supa t) and all those guys are immense rappers. I love salsa smurf, it feels like a hidden little gem to me. The end of the song is immense, where they all do a line, is one of my favourite bits of british hip hop. The song after that with apollo rhyming about "I never... etc" is perfect too. I wish apollo had released an album, he is a seriously funny guy. All i ever saw was the bullyfoot march ep, and a few scattered 12" here and there, all of which i snapped up eagerly.
