I definitely will try it out if i ever get the chance. I guess maybe it isn't too expensive and it's only as expensive as you make it :P but you brought up a good point that can be contributed towards PC gaming actually. you buy a $1300 PC and that's way more than the price of a 400-500 dollar console, but you end up saving sooo much money on games it's ridiculous. I have ~150 games in my steam library and i've paid maybe 300-400, MAYBE 500 bucks on all of them? that's like 2-5 bucks per game when you average them out. maaaybe i've spent more than 500 bucks but still, if you want 150 console games you're going to be spending 750-1k for all of them i think. now, maybe that's not a good thing since i rarely play most and that's money i could have/might have saved if i didn't buy them because i had a console, but psh, why would you want to save money when you can have ALL THESE GAMES for dirt cheap?! :D

dude one of the things i love about black ops is that they have bots!!! i can easily play online and i still play it more but back in the day with battlefield 2142 i used to play bots all the time when i didn't have internet. so bots will always have a soft spot in my heart since i couldn't play online for so long <3 i agree though, more games including battlefield should have bots these days. like i said, i played 2142 and they had them, and i play a mega shit ton out of quake 3 arena with bots only. that's one of my favorite all time FPS games because of how much fun i had in it, all against bots. oh well though. it costs money for devs to code AI and put resources into games and they already release them too early *coughbf4cough* so we wouldn't want them to have to work even mroe do we? -.- haha but i've never played timesplitters actually :O although i have a ps2 emulator now so maybe i should download it and try it out..

The boss fights in deus ex are mehhh. i've only beaten one iirc and it was just shoot and hide and shoot and hide. it wasn't really anything too exciting =\ so the complaints are valid. and honestly if you thought the combat/gameplay in f3 was clunky, probably just wait until fallout 4 i think. new vegas improves a little bit but overall it's still a lot of the same game. i've actually been getting the urge to go back and actually play NV though, and mod it too. buuut i probably won't haha. I actually just got done with an 8 hour long civilization 5 session. wasn't expecting to play for so long but it just happened LOL. it's such a damn good game.

yeah PCs can definitely get expensive. a lot of it is a hobby too with wanting to get the most performance per dollar. plus you can do other stuff on a PC that you can't on a console so there's that. you could definitely build a solid PC for sub 1k though. my first PC i built was around 600-800 and would have been good enough to play bf3 on medium/high settings at 60 FPS if it didn't freeze on me (never figured out why, but i know it wasn't my actual hardware :() and you play airsoft? that's pretty awesome actually. i've always wanted to but i don't know of any places in central PA that are legit/serious about it, plus the guns are pretty expensive so i never really bothered looking too hard haha. but yeah i watch LCs airsoft vids too and it's pretty cool. it is kind of strange that he gets all those guns for free but eh, it is advertising and he has to make a living somehow and it's the perfect way to show off airsoft so good for him. i'd do it too if given the chance :D

BF4 has actually gotten better now, but yeah you're right, you'd think they'd sort that shit out before hand, especially since they had a beta and al ot of the problems happened IN BF3 TOO. i mean wtf? how does a sound glitch where the sound just stops working happen in 2 consecutive games? oh well though, when it works it's awesome and the problems are getting sorted out so i'll be playing it for a long time :D and nah i have no major problems with cod. i have all of them except MW3 so it's not like i'm "boycotting" them or anything :P i was thinking of picking up ghosts on PC since i've always wanted a PC shooter i can just start up and play a quick 5-10 minute face paced round, which is something that battlefield doesn't really provide even in it's tdm mode. i still prefer bf to cod though, all day every day <3

haha yeah dude I might have been playing metro 2 years ago or whenever it was. i haven't touched it in forever =\ also I've actually played like 11/12 hours of deus ex, and it's pretty great. i don't know why i stopped though, guess i just had a ton of other games to play too because i got it during a steam sale. i should definitely go back and beat it though, the atmosphere is really awesome with the whole futuristic/steampunk vibe. also i actually have new vegas but i haven't beat it yet even though overall i probably enjoyed it more than f3 (in terms of gameplay)...but yeah that's one of those games i played like 12 hours, stopped, then a few months later started again and played another 15 hours and then stopped again. i was in the mood to play it the other day but didn't because i don't remember where i'm at and i don't want to start it a third time :( i'll play the shit out of fallout 4 though if/when they make that. it's hopefully gonna be great <3

but yeah I watch levelcap. i really like him actually, probably my favorite imo. he's a big reason i got so good at BF3. i think i started off with a 500 score per minute with a kdr of like 1.4 and at the time of bf4's release i was up to 900 spm and a 2.5 kdr and a lot of that is from his and rivalxfactor's videos (another great bf youtuber). i guess they're more teaching channels instead of entertainment haha but i've found both of them REALLY good for improving my gameplay. and his job is to have an awesome computer to play games so of course he can afford that stuff....wish that was my job :( also no prob about the facebook. the only reason i still have mine is to keep in touch with family (more so when i move out) and keep in touch with a few other friends. most of the people i know from HS don't really use it anymore so it is kind of a waste honestly

also my PC cost right around 1500 total. it might have been a little less than that actually, maybe between 1.3k and 1.5k. either way, it's not QUUUUITE top of the line, but i use that word pretty loosely since aside from the the retarded freezing i can run BF4 at 60 fps on a mix of high/ultra settings and it eats pretty much any other game for breakfast so i'd say it's still top of the line. i bought literally everything from scratch though. if you can reuse parts from old PCs or operating systems or stuff like that it's a lot cheaper. i had to buy a new monitor (~$120), operating system (~100) case (~70) and keyboard and mouse and stuff which was probably another 100ish. if you reuse some stuff like that you can save some money but i just went all out with mine. 1500 will get you a really nice PC though for sure. actually looking at that link you posted the "outstanding" one would be MORE than enough, and the next one up would be AMAZING for the next several years

yeah I've heard BL2 is better than the first but eh, i probably will never play it. i have such a backlog on steam that i'll never play to begin with so i doubt i'll add bl2 to that. i just barely beat bioshock infinite the other month and i still have stuff like deux ex, metro 2033, mirrors edge and a ton more that i've yet to beat. can't see myself playing any of them any time soon though because yep BF4 game out tuesday. it's awesome :D when it works at least haha. i and a ton of other people are having massive problems with getting kicked from games because of shitty servers or game freezes. it's a pain in the ass and it's kept me from playing it as much as i'd like. i've actually been doing homework proactively instead of playing, that's how bad it is >:(

damn internet usage? ha! i could never live with limits. well maybe i could not that i don't really download music, but i watch a ton of youtube and netflix so i use a lot of bandwidth and it'd definitely restrict me which would suck. also the lumineers aren't bad. also that band reminds me of some ska bands, but "poppier"..not that that's a bad thing though, i like ska and those songs are really catchy and anyways. actually the more i listen to them the more i'm enjoying it. it's just....fun i guess? idk but i'm really digging it :D

and man, you could write a book on PC parts :P I personaly have a GTX 670, forget the motherboard, 8 gb of ram, a regular 1 TB harddrive and another ssd drive dedicated to windows. The 670 at the time i got it (last year) was a GREAT card. the "only" card better than it that wasn't more than $500 was the 680 so it's a great card. NVIDIA (graphics card makers) released a new 700 series (770, 780, etc) so it's a liiiiiittle "outdated" now but let's face it, it's going to last me another several years playing games at high/max settings depending on the game so it's perfect for me. there's a ton of things i could tell you about graphics cards and all the meat of the PC but it'd take like 10 shoutbox posts since you're right, they probably were meant for short messages =\ i think lastfm has a message thing but i never used it and idk if it has a character limit either. do you have a facebook or something like that? that'd probably be easier to use but if not that's fine, this still works :P

Borderlands was another game i never got into. i have the first on pc and it jsut didn't click with me in the 4 hours i played it. granted i was playing solo but the gameplay and art style and loot just wasn't my thing. Oh well though, there's too many games to play anyways, can't play em all :P but yeah GTA 5 is AMAZING. i have like 60 hours in the single player iirc and i'm about to start another play through to use cheats and all that fun stuff :D and that doesn't include online which would be amazing if it'd put me in lobbies with other people/i had friends with ps3s -.- and yeah it's probably ping. if you have a high ping you'll lag like shit in games no matter how beast your pc is :( i remember those days so i feel your pain. As for gta5/fc3, i'd have to go with gta. fc3 is a really fun shooter though so it depends on if you're in the mood for an FPS or pure sandbox game. fc3 is a sandbox too and a lot better than fc2 in terms of stuff to do but i found gta better in that aspect

Yep that's exactly how i feel about my classes. it's like i'm just half assing everything and not putting in as much effort as i should. I mean, i still think im learning the stuff, but not nearly as well as i could be if that makes sense. in one way, online classes are good because then i can be like yeah i can motivate myself (sorta) and ive done all this stuff on my own, but at the same time i don't have quite the same in depth hands on kind of experiences you get in a classroom. its a double edged sword i guess, so having both will be pretty cool. also that song is actually really catchy ngl. i also just started listening to imagine dragons the other day. i mean, id heard them on the radio and radioactive is on mlb2013 but i got sick of hearing that song only and never gave em a chance. finally did though when i was downloading some mumford&sons (JUDGE ME) and figured id give ID a shot too. aside from radioactive that album is REALLY good. also katy perry is def easy on the eyes <3

i've never played diablo actually. it just never really interested me. i'm not a big loot pick up kind of guy though so that's why. i've played torchlight which is kind of like diablo i think and it was cool but it didn't stick with me so i'll probably never play diablo =\ do you have steam or anything like that? well, maybe not since you have satellite internet...that's gotta blow. i remember having slow as shit dsl. thankfully when i switched to online i convinced my parents i needed faster internet so now i get 1mb/s download speeds <3 which still isn't very fast compared to korea or cities but it's soooo much better than what we used to have. also FC3 is a really fun game. put ~30ish hours into that. I have the DLC for it (blood dragon) but idk, i got it after i hadnt played FC3 in awhile and never put a lot of time in it...TLDR you should totally get an awesome PC and bf4 :D also this shoutbox has a retardedly small character box.though maybe it isn't normally used like this lmao

about the music, i've kind of stopped listening to death/bdm too. still listen to abominable putridity and gojira and some of the "major" death metal bands i like still but yeah i'm with you in that a lot of the new stuff is just kind of boring =\ and honestly, i've stopped being an elitist douche when it comes to pop stuff. KATY PERRY IS CATCHY AS FUCK AND SO IS LADY GAGA AND I DON'T CARE. lol seriously though, i'll turn on the radio and jam along to the latest pop hits these days. i find i enjoy having a mix of the crappy yet catchy pop stuff and also some metal mixed in is a lot more fun than just metal, at least for me. plus i listen to a decent amount of electronic music still. i used to love dubstep but that's kinda faded out, now it's all avicii and diplo and major lazor. basically trap and popular electro haha. still fun though <3

yeah, I'll actually be living off campus in an apartment so i'll end up being able to live alone which i'm looking forward too. although, that's not going to be until next fall, so in a couple months i'm probably going to be moving in with a friend who goes there and help him pay the rent and live there until next fall when he'll have graduated, and the plan is for me to just take over that apartment myself. that's the plan at least :P and man, online college is....well, it's doable and everything but i would never recommend it to anybody actually wanting to go to college for the first time. i was working a night shift job and that on top of having to motivate my lazy self was/is suuuuuuuuuch a pain. thankfully i just quit and only have next week until i'm no longer working (until i move at least) so i'm pretty pumped about that. doing classes with a mix of online/campus is going to be really nice and a good change for me i think

oh i've been gaming a shit load though. was addicted to bf3 for the looooooooongest time. bought it on PC, didn't work, bought it on PS3, played a ton of it. then i built a new badass PC last summer and played it a shit load more after that. i'm pretty pumped for BF4 and atm i'm playing gta5 with some league of legends sprinkled in from time to time with a buddy of mine who loves the game. i play a lot of other stuff in between too, i have like 150 steam games and sports games and stuff but i'm pretty excited to get into bf4 :D

lol dude, i've gone through 2 years of college and now i'm in my third. every year has been different. first year i went on campus, was cool but not necessarily my thing and all my roommates partied, which i didn't do. then i switched to online stuff and now live at home to save money, and in a couple months i plan on moving back onto the main campus of my school (PENN STATE WOO haha)....but yeah, the entire time i had a girlfriend but it turns out she's a selfish bitch so now i'm dealing with that breakup and moving soon and just in general i feel like my life is changing pretty drastically, but for the better thankfully. i actually don't listen to a ton of music anymore but what i do is all stuff i already know. i haven't really discovered a new band that's kept my attention in forever and i really don't have the urge to honestly. i do miss the ps forums though. i haven't really been part of a community like that/this since then and sometimes i miss it :(

À propos de moi

I rarely listen to music on my computer, and my ipod won't scrobble, hence my pathetically low play counts on here.
