"Somewhere Down The Crazy River"...amazing song. It's definitely a song that paints pictures. I like that whole eponymous disc from Robbie Robertson. I have started to appreciate more Daniel Lanois as a producer.

I met Lane via Lattney, one of the masterminds behind Sleepynaut and Holly and the Dead Saints, etc. Lattney has since left the site, and we miss him. One of my tippy-top superfavorite Lattney songs is actually ABOUT Lane, if that's not too unbelievable.

I picked up the Da Comrade! CD from Marvelous a couple days ago, great stuff. But thanks for the offer.

I've never been to Philly, I'm from a desert wasteland in AZ. So, you've been to the Germ, huh? That's so cool! As far as Alan Moore goes; I've only just heard of him---his collaboration with David J is what piqued my curiosity enough to investigate.

Hey, looks like we're both attending the same event. I'm not familiar with The Extremist. Looking forward to D.E.W.

Thanks! I had to include some Radio Eris songs on there to make it philly legit. I'm listening to your library radio station. Pretty eclectic (as I would expect).

Forgive me MATT. My own Son has that wonderful, nicely abbreviated name, so YOU WOULD THINK I COULD MANAGE TO REMEMBER...Feel free to come over and call me something obsure; I will take it like a Woman ;~)

Hi Barry, don't believe Robby's lame-ass explanation for playing so much Hawkwind. I happen to know that he doesn't want to lose that album cover at his profile!! ;~) (He actually made me find it!!).

Yes--I really like Doremi Fasol Latido, and Space Ritual has some great moments too: lots of, like, 9-minute long punk rock songs with trippy accessories. Not quite as fond of the hippy-dippier stuff that came before and after. Hawkwind was EXTREMELY popular among the very first Baton Rouge punk rockers, who were (of course) hippies! It all comes full circle.

Hey Matt, I was perusing your About me section...HALT! Spelling Police officer Barbara is now pulling you over. Any Bibliophile should know that its spelled, "RENOVATOR". Alright then, on your bike! ;~)

What was that story you used to tell about Paul Simon and the B-52's? I remember the gist, but not well enough to tell it. If you feel like it, comment on my journal "The Tyranny of Melody," which mentions that pairing.
