About Me - 1st time

I thought I'd keep a record of this ... my first "About Me" from July 2010. Call me a collector :d

I like new music and old. I like new people and old.

I mostly play albums and I check out new music on Spotify. Listening to indie/alt/punk and electronica at the moment.

Also on the list are noisy garage bands and psych bands, freak folk and the classics. Strands of metal and funk. Pop. Still adding music i love to the library - half way there. I like books and art and images ... travel ... people ... food. I'm interested in different points of view. It's great - but don't be ruled by "musical compatibility"!

Having fun with the social side of Last.fm at the moment, posting in forums, joining groups, leaving random shouts.

I'm happy to chat if you've got something to say - or even if you haven't ^^

Just home from Berlin (business) and relaxing now. Chutes Too Narrow - the Shins is playing.

Bought some cd's at the weekend. Trawled the vintage shops in Brewer Street and gave Fopp the once over. Added these to the newly arrived purchases from online shopping - Play, HMV and Amazon. A stack of about 20 sits on my desk, waiting to be ripped.

I do like a bargain.

Wondering about Last.fm - the way the scrobbler works intermittently. It's not working at the moment. When it is I log in when I'm playing music, and when it's not I rarely come here, checking it every month or so.

Swiss chocolate in my bag to share at work, and for the gf. I texted her as I came back on the tube from Heathrow. Too late to ring. She's an early to bed early to rise type - unlike me.
