Yeah i listened to this town needs guns. Didnt really like it all that much though, but they werent bad. The 59 sound is nearly a perfect album, if it werent for Even Cowgirls get the blues. That song sucks

uhh, they're like a delta blues revival group. I mean they have like a really really unique sound today, as the instruments are mainly really really old steel/acoustic guitars, drums, and washboard. I think their similar artists on last.fm say leadbelly is similar, but i really cant compare them to anything else that you'd know, as lame a copout as this must be

The nickelbacks i hear are a pretty good band but I also hear some of the concepts discussed in their albums are pretty complicated and I'm not really looking for intellignet music right now, just fun stuff. I feel like they might give me a headache

I used to be into music. Then I went through the whole post-music counterculture thing, but I realized I was being a pussy conformist, so here I am listening to music again. Whats the word on the great new artists? I personally like reverend Peyton's big damn band

Either/Or is probably the best place. It's his best imo, and it pretty accessible. His music changed a bit as it went on though, it got more electric. If not Either/Or, try XO or From a Basement on the Hill (which are his 2nd and 3rd best imo). Some would say From a Basement is his worst, but it has a lot of his best songs on it.

Silversun Pickups are a great band, sort of like shoegaze-esque Smashing Pumpkins. If you enjoyed Lazy Eye, definitely get their first album, Carnavas.
