That sounds really cool actually! I'm studying law and criminology - really wishing i'd chosen something like media studies right now. I'm really issing my gig buddy right now, nobody I've met seems to be into the same music as me, which means i'm ina city with amaaazing gigs and no company! Death Cab For Cutie are playing and I'm seriosuly trying to force them on people so I can go, but it's not looking promising :( I only ended up going to Leeds Fest again and missed quite a big portion of it due to drinking excessively. Saw the main people I wanted to though like Pulp, Strokes and National. Wasn't the same this year for some reason. Wish I'd gone to 2000 trees, I'm planning on it next year I think :) How was it?

Hi! Tricks are good, moved to Leeds and it's so good. I don't eer want to go home! Downsides are the mountain of work I have to do for tomorrow, when all I want to do is go to beeeedddddddd :( How's things with you?

Hello :) I’m a bit comme si comme ca atm, suuuuper ill, but loads to do! Work is going really well, I’ve been trying to save up for summer, but internet shopping is ruining that one. Ahh the dreaded dissertation, hows that one working out for ya? Not got a ticket for 2000trees no /sadface. I don’t think I can go now due to work, but Kendal Calling is looking good. I may even ask for tickets for my birthday instead of shelling out the cash. Tehehehe. Regarding King of Limbs, I sort of like it, not had enough time to listen to it and form a proper opinion… I love Lotus Flower onwards; the first couple I think are a bit, I don’t know how to describe it, they’re good, but just not good enough for Radiohead’s standards. Well that’s how I see it anyway. I ordered Noah and the Whale and The Strokes new albums too, so very excited for those!!

I don’t get paid for another 2 weeks, so here’s to hoping there are still tickets left then. I saw the early entry tickets were in short supply and nearly hyperventilated! I’ve found some friends that are interested in coming with though, so yay! I really can’t afford any of the gigs I’ve said I’m attending, bar Admiral Fallow. Have you had a listen to The King Of Limbs yet?

Thank you!! I now have 2 jobs, which is going to be a shock to the system after chillin’ for a month. (The other one was for Monsoon/Accessorize - HELLO DISCOUNT!) Yeah I saw Frightened Rabbit and thought I have so so so have to go now! How were The Hold Steady? I’m in need of some gig therapy; it’s been a while. You have some gooduns coming up. I still haven’t purchased tickets for anything, should really get to it, but my bank account disagrees. Ho hum

I have nothing better to do atm than shop, but I have no money! Good news though I got that job at Nando’s! Plus I have another job interview this weekend – things are looking up! We’re both definitely up for going, but need to find a few more people first I think, otherwise it won’t be as good. I shall wait until the line up is announced and then coax people into going. I’ve got an interview tomorrow and then that one on Saturday, which will be followed by the pub for mass consumption of steak and wine, can’t wait :D. You got anything on?

Thankyouthankyou :) Ah dear me! I keep managing to spend insane amounts of money by accident, I forget to look at price tags and when I’m asked for the money at the till I always wish I had! I have a peep who’s very interested we’ve just been trying to figure out how to get there, as we are both without cars at the minute! That’s something I’m gonna do today, FIND ME A CAR. More money being spent /sigh. I told you, geography, not my strong point. To be fair Southport is right next to Blackpool, so I think it’s fair enough to google tehehe

Oooh I would recommend you get yourself to Nando’s, lots and lots of chicken – yumyum. I managed to get to a second interview/workshop thing today, bagged myself some free peri-peri sauce. I ended up watching Skins, just for something to do, but I agree with you it’s really quite terrible now isn’t it? That is quite excessive! You’ll be sick of them soon! I’ve been listening to FRabbit’s newest all week, only just got into it and now I’m hooked. I had to google where Southampton AND Gloucester were haha, geography isn’t my forté. have you bought your 2000 trees ticket yet?

Nah, he’ll be leaving as soon as poss I think. Where’s it that you’re from? Interview is for Nando’s, which would mean free chicken - HELL YES. Noo that all sounds pretty good to me, I’m feeling a film day. Probably on Saturday to nurse my hangover blues. I've been listening to The Joy Formidable by the way, rather enjoying them :)

We let it go in the 2nd half, but I’m still really proud that we ever scored against you! That’s an achievement in itself! Much better than our performance against Chelsea… those were dark times haha. Ughh don’t mention snakebite, I’ve had one too many-a-bad experience with those devils. I’m still trying to coerce some friends into going with me to Explosions in the Sky (and by coerce I mean FORCING them to listen to them), so fingers crossed over here too. I’ve got a job interview Friday, so Friday eve will either be celebratory drinks, or that of drowning my sorrows. What about you?

I suppose congratulations are in order, I shan’t be bitter *ahem* shouldhavehadapenalty *ahem*… anyhoo! No, it was a good game, I was on the edge of my seat for the whole like 100 minutes! If you split I shall be sure buy you a beer (or maybe even push the boat out for a cider) as a token of my gratitude :D I have tabbed them, shall check them out later, insanely tired from the football watching, it's so strenuous!

Oooh canada, i'm jealous! I’m supposed to be going to Prague and Tenerife too! First student loan should take care of the Tenerife trip though, God bless student finance. I live in the mighty Blackpool (yuck), soo excited for the football tonight :D I think we should splitsies if you win the lottery, as I blame you for my festival desires. I shall repay the favour :) Deal?

That course sounds really interesting, shame about your situation though :( If I get a job soon, then I shall definitely be going… it’s just a matter of getting there, but hopefully I shall have found a car as well by that point. It’ll probs just be 2000 trees and/or Kendal Calling this year. Maybe try and get a few friends to steward, then I could maybe do Leeds too. The Cure are at Bestival? Okay, so now I have to go to that too. Damnnn you making me want to go to all these festivals! Must start saving up ASAP

I too wish I’d taken English at college, but it was so awful at High School. What is it you’re doing now then? I really wanted to go to 2000 trees last year, but didn’t have the money to do that AND Leeds fest – I like the whole concept though, shall be urging my friends to check it out. Grizzly Bear were a bit of a gamble – I think they’re a very acquired taste, so I’m tres glad you like them

Ahh yes me too, being a music journalist or photographer (if I possessed such talents) would be amazzzzzzeeee. I was planning on maybe going to some cheap ones, maybe Kendal Calling, or 2000 trees… the dream is Coachella, but unfortunately I lack the means. The line up is pretty much perfection though! I saw that you’d been listening to a bit of Grizzly Bear, what do you think? I love how mysterious and eerie they sound. Also fallen for Admiral Fallow, I don’t know if you’ve listened to them, they supported Frightened Rabbit on tour, their album is fantastic!

I really have been too lazy with music the past few months, that’s definitely got to change. I’m now going to spend my evening listening to lots of new music and finding some gigs to go to (preferably cheap ones). Very productive I think. Oooh those are good ones, I think The National would probably appear in mine and maybe Arcade Fire, I’ll have to think about it though and get back to you. Do you like Grizzly Bear? I started listening to them the other evening and at first I was a bit unsure, but I bought the album today and now I sort of love them, haha.

I would LOVELOVELOVE a job at Ikea! I’d manage to spend all my wages in there though, as I do with every job. I shall get listening to the album then, just have to be in a new music sort of mood which I’m very much not today. I’m loving the comforting familiarity of Jimmy Eat World of late, I really shouldn’t indulge in nostalgia nearly as much as I do. Who else was in your top 3?

I saw Pulled Apart By Horses at Leeds fest and didn’t reckon much to them, but I shall give the others a whirl at some point and let you know my verdict. Not doing much of anything really, just job hunting pretty much constantly. I don’t think even one person has replied at this point, v. dispiriting. Certainly do dabble on facebook, I think my ID is 541395778

I haven’t really been on the ball with new music at the moment; I’ve been rekindling old loves. Everything I would normally recommend you already listen to! Oh dear me, I always find I’m much better at work when hungover, probably still drunk in most cases though. Christmas was boring and I totally missed new year – stupidly went out new years eve eve thinking I could hack 2 nights in a row, couldn’t have been more wrong, in bed by 9pm tehehe. Any recommendations for myself?
