*the hammond tag has a Coldplay and Oasis on it, so it slightly misses the point, at least for me, as i largely aim for the more instrumental tracks and it includes music like this of Les Hommes's which sound is a little bit too lounge (although some recordings by Sam Paglia and Nicola Conte do belong within my tag). It did , however, introduced me to Johnny Hammond so it's not all bad:)
I wanted to create a Jazz tag containing music from the late 1930s to the early 1960s - almost no big bands and no vocal jazz, mostly sounds of small swing combos ,be-bop, hard-bop and a little bit of cool jazz.
actually it was Wailing which for some reason wasn't scrobbled, just like a Tony Bennett track that also didn't find it's way to the charts, so maybe the whole counting is off... (anyway, you should really check wailing, it's just a lovely track and it got some cool sounding vinyl pops and crackling sounds)
Track 10,000 is also a chance to mention several artists that i discovered thanks to some very nice friends and neighbors, groups and various last.fm radios (the list is of course incomplete and have no particular order):
i would follow with an early 1960's live performance by Sonny Boy Williamson - it's an old French recored i have, part of a "Masters of Blues" series, there's also a Champion Jack Dupree recored in that series but unfortunately these are the only ones i own
