just about bob dylan? that's definitely something new! I'm ashamed to confess, but i've never heard him. Any favorite record to recommend? Oh, i SERIOUSLY love broken bells! Their debut is completely amazing, they became one of my favorite bands ever, there isn't a single song by them that i don't like.

and, YES, I'm in London! (sighs). I'm not living with a brazilian friend here, but I'm friends with Juliane, who is also here for some months and we've been hanging out together. we met through lastfm (!) last year and we just happened to be here in London at the same time. we're also travel buddies, we're going to all those weekends together, starting with Stockholm on friday (and wish me luck, btw, it's -10 there right now and I'm from a place where 23 degrees is unheard of). and, as you can see, I've been to a big number of gigs! :DDDD my life now feels complete. it sucks you're leaving by the time I could actually visit you, that's really unlucky. but I don't think I could survive a polar winter, it's too hardcore. I didn't really make any brazilian friends in London, the ones I study with are a bunch of assholes (with a few exceptions) and make fun of my portuguese accent. fuck these people, it's my accent, I'm from the northeast, one can tell, and there's nothing wrong with it!

omg, Maya, you disappoint me! you make me ashamed! as if I DIDN'T KNOW The Amazing Race went to Narvik! this was months ago! (the season is GREAT, by the way, you should check it on youtube). honestly, what kind of person do you think I am ? not knowing the amazing race went to northern Norway ? they also went to Kiruna (but I don't wanna give you any spoilers, you should watch it!) but the Narvik episode was kinda lame, which was very sad, I had the highest expectations for it. and, omg, you don't have to specify where Narvik is! :p I saw that video from your school like 3 times, it's really cool that you have that many languages and even cooler your brother is on the advertisement! does it show on tv?

Bergen, Bergen! You have no idea of how much i want to go to Bergen in the future. I do like human sciences, anthropology is one of the things i'd study if i had followed this direction. anthropology and phylosophy actually. I think that this area is more about research and writing teses than anything else, right? (unless you wanna be a teacher) That sounds pretty cool, i'd love to write teses about old phylosophers. Yes, i do think about Alaska and Norway, because the landscape is breathtaking, although, culturaly, i identify more with France, Italy and mainly Greece. So i think that when the time come i'll get really undecided hahaha I just wouldn't go to russia because i don't speak russian! and i envy you so much! You're from norway AND you live 'near' Russia!

YEAH, it\s crazy, it\s a crazy world! I\m in predictable Europe and I\m loving it! (you would be amazed by how much "predictable" Latin America is, though). no, really, Im having the best time of my life, I\ve never had it so good. and tonight I\m gonna see ARCADE FIRE. really, life can\t get better than that for me. and I\m going to Stockholm next week and it\ll be freakishingly cold. I know it won\t be Tromso\s cold (come on, you\re above the Arctic circle, it\s hard to compete) but it\ll be like -8, -10. I dont really know why I\m going, but ... and here in London is getting colder, it was -4 the other day and it snowed all day long yesterday, I\m LOVING it! I really-really-really considered going to Tromso (I swear) but the arctic in winter is just beyond crazy! also, the connection is too long for a weekend :( maybe in march ... how disgustingly cold is there in early march ?

ARREY and greetings from LONDON ! :DDDDD (omfg, I really am here!) sorry it took me so long to answer, my flight from Recife to Lisbon was delayed and I missed my connection from Lisbon to London and then I arrived here later than predicted. ITS COLD, but I like it! I mean, its not Tromso cold, the coldest I got so far was -1 (which, lets face it, its cold) but Im going to Stockholm on the 10th and its so cold there I almost start crying tears of ice everytime I look at the weather forecast there. we have SO much to talk, we are in the same continent now! (for the first time ever!). Ive also bought a notebook and I can actually download things with no trouble (for the first time ever!). anyway, so your ticket is bought ? how are you feeling ? excited ? PERU, here you come!

i guess i never asked, which career are you going to follow? Oh, you're completely right, i just forgot that you''ve been to india lots of times, so you're, obviously, used to poverty. i think you're like me: you want to go as far away as possible! I want to make my exchange program in a very, very faraway place, so i thought about alaska or norway. Can you believe that it takes 25 hours to go to alaska from where i live? it's insane. Do you speak spanish? (guess i saw you telling pedro or something). I bought some touristic guides in a big book store we have in curitiba (the biggest city around), i bought the NY and Chicago ones (because i might be traveling to those places in july of 2011) and St. Petersburg/Moscow because Russia is my favourite country ever. But they are not lonely planet, they are Fordor's.

just like pedro said: who wouldn't love norway? And the picture at fleet foxes' website is hugely beautiful, here in brazil we can't even dream about things like that hahahah so that's awesome, that you're coming to south america. You're gonna be a little scared i think, it's lights years different from what you're used! But yes, those people from peru/ecuador have such a nice culture, and titicaca lake is very beautiful from what my ex history teacher told us. But why Peru/Ecuador specifically? (just wondering, most of people who come to south america, come to rio or argentina) Anyway, I was very busy with my appliance in med school, but now i'm realized that i'll only be able to get in next year, so i can start it in 2012, Next year i'll only study, from 7am to 10pm, like crazy. I wish i hadn't fallen in love with such a hard career.

À propos de moi

Just because somebody mentions the word 'bomb', I'm not going to scream, man, and start clapping.

Yeah, yeah we can all grab at the chance to be handsome farmers
Yeah you can have twenty-one sons and be blood when they marry my daughters
And the pain that we left at the station will stay in a jar behind us
We can pickle the pain into blue ribbon winners at country contests.
