this is a background process.
compiled over a few months (beginning back when it really was pollination time), this was more of a distraction than a concentrated effort. what happened was a collision between an influx of soul into my collection and a desire to keep the product subdued but playful. i don't know if i really accomplished that, but i did succeed in distracting myself from actual productive work for a while. the resulting mishmash of jazz, soul, hip-hop, rawk and disco (!!!) isn't entirely cohesive, but is a nice backdrop to a tall glass of whiskey, so i consider it a success.
also will oldham makes me cry. thanks country music.
