I often create custom playlists for myself in iTunes. I find it amusing to give myself a set of parameters and search through my library for items that might fit the theme or mood for which I am aiming. My latest project was to take my top 8 last.fm artists, and create a "sampler" as if it was made for someone who had never heard of any of the artists, in order to introduce them.. Each artist gets two songs, and I attempted to have one of those be upbeat and the other be more ballad-like. This is my result, which I think makes a pretty decent mix, even though it is very difficult for me to compress these musicians down to only two songs!

Disclaimer: I prefer the instrumental-only piano version of Chris Rice's "Come Thou Fount" which is found on the album "The Living Room Sessions." Last.fm fails to delineate that version from the "Hymn Project" guitar version with vocal.
