For anyone that knows me, I am sure this comes as no surprise. I, my friends, am a musical snob of the highest caliber. My beliefs about the concept of music and its' many wondrous effects……including marketabability, I can expound for hours on end….and when certain names/bands/labels are mentioned, I am known to go a bit ballistic….*coughs*Metallica*coughs*
Music, dear people, should come from emotions and life itself…not something canned like spam for the masses.
ANYWAYS.
I call myself aurally eccentric to the Nth degree. I can listen to any particular form of music….if there is quality there. I cannot make myself fall for the corporate pop music I hear and am forced to see on Mtv and VH1…..among other stations. I prefer classical/opera/chorale, jazz, blues, classic rock, psychedelic/prog/space/classical rock genres, ::::INDUSTRIAL:::: noise, experimental, downbeat, all of metal and its' subgenres with the exclusion or glam, numetal, and emo (they forgot that their are more emotions than sadness and desperation), world music, reggae, swing, etc……………
