Been terribly busy getting pissed and neglecting; I do apologise.

    Recent albums:
The Hunter, Crack the Skye, Blood Mountain, Leviathan, Remission
You see, Mastodon are just one of those bands that release an album every few years and are already contenders for album of the year. With every album comes increasingly epic tracks and fantastic riffs which make you want to headbang until you break your neck in every place. Mixing progressive metal but melodic, my favourite album, personally, will always be Blood Mountain; with every song being a classic from start to finish. The Hunter is also a brilliant album; which is definitely more progressive than others like Crack the Skye, but who can compare? When it comes to Mastodon, bands cannot match the genius of Troy Sanders, Bill Kelliher, Brent Hinds and Brann Dailor (in my opinion, one of the best modern-day drummers in existence).

Tried to get my iPod Classic scrobbling, but I have shit all luck. Shame.

    Today's Music:
    Relationship of Command
Possibly one of my favourite albums out there. I couldn't really get into their first couple of albums due to the fact the recording was horrific, but At The Drive-In really outdone themselves. Every track on here has a fantastic hook, superb riffs from Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, who then went on to form the also incredible Mars Volta with Cedric. One of a kind.

    Demon Days
Listening to 'Clint Eastwood' last night really got me in a Gorillaz mood, so I decided to play back their second album. I remember buying this as a kid, and only buying it for 'Feel Good Inc.' but listening to it, the memories flood back! A classic album from my teenage years with some great guests acts, including De La Soul. Well worth a listen for most of the singles.

I hate the fact that I haven't 'listened' to music in two days because I cannot scrobble from my iPod classic. Does anyone else have this problem? =(

    Today's Music:
For Lack of a Better Name
Due to the fact I may be seeing him at RockNess, I gave it a listen. And I must say, I'm very impressed. Some amazing riffs, drops and sequences which make it a memorable album of the electronic genre. My only issue is that it's the same tempo through the whole album, just a constant beat banging into your head. I'd like to say it's similar to Justice's Cross album, but unfortunately not. Minus that point, I still recommend it.

    Today's music:
    Tough Love
The follow-up to their self-titled album, Pulled Apart By Horses have certainly outdone themselves here. With their upcoming tour, fantastic new album and insane stage presence, this is a band that you definitely have to see live.

I enjoy this album. It's certainly different, and not the sort of band I would enjoy, but I'm pleased with this album. With some great hits like 'House of Jealous Lovers', 'Heaven' and the album title 'Echoes', famous for being the theme song for the British teen drama 'Misfits'. Still, an enjoyable album.

    Today's music:
    Songs for the Deaf
By far QOTSA's best album. Every track on this CD is an anthem, whether it be a catchy melody, sick drumming, hooky bass lines or some songs which are just insane, those being Six Shooter and Millionaire. A fantastic album.

THE grunge album of the 90's. Mixing this album with Alice in Chains' Dirt, the two combine to define what we know as grunge. Highlights on this album are the obvious ones; Alive, Black and, my personal favourite, Oceans. All incredible tracks by an incredible band who are still around to this very day.

(FACT: Today, in lab sessions, we were looking at chloroplasts from a spinach leave under a microscope today. It was not interesting)

    Take it easy, Scrobblers.

    Today's music:

It's quite genius how two incredible albums were able to be released in the same year. From their self-titled album to present day, their unique sound still amazes me. When I heard they had reunited, I was over the moon. Unfortunately, the chances of them crashing down in Scotland are next to impossible.

    Song of the day:Sugar

Tonight will consist of Adrenaline Mob and Dethklok.

I'm new to this whole thing. I'm just here to branch out my the old music taste to get anyway from the awful, repetitive, mainstream bollocks we call 'music' today. I'll try my best to post daily.
