Can't argue with you Mystik72 about the encore, definitely was too chilled out, especially in comparison to the high energy they had goin' before.
This was my first Hot Chip show and I have to say I was very impressed with their stage presence, except for the guy running the drum machine, he seemed content to stare blankly and drink Jagermeister straight out of the bottle. Tons of energy that made me want dance and get down with my bad self. The bands ability to produce the three way harmonies that they employed was also quite a treat.
In addition I liked the slight "jam band" performance elements: teasing 80's tunes (I didn't catch them all), instrument switching, and the use of extended solos and re-working of song breakdowns.
That's about all I have to say…
