#1 Hollow Years (Live at Budokan)- Dream Theater- The intro solo is technically amazing and the solo in the song is John Petrucci at his finest, he pours a lot of heart and soul into this solo pretty much brings me to tears everytime I hear it.
#2 Spirit Carries On (Score)- Dream Theater- This is another one of those Petrucci at his best songs, I loved the fact that when I heard this song live that they dedicated it to the bridge victims of I-35W which added another sense to the song along with the amazing solo in it.
#3 In the Name of God (Train of Thought)- Dream Theater-Shredding at it's finest brought to you in part by John Petrucci, highly recomend this song for anyone that wants to do some hardcore head banging
#4 No Leaf Clover (S&M Disc 1)- Metallica- I have always love this song with the orchestra and all that stuff and Kirk Hammet uses this song to his advantage to make a kick ass solo.
#5 Fade to Black (Ride the Lightning)- Metallica- Kick ass song and if anyone disagrees with me they should be banished to a place that is undescribeably horrible (quite possibly hell) anyways, this song is a winner from the start to finish with numerous solos that will win you over
#6 Hallowed Be Thy Name (Number of the Beast)- Iron Maiden- This is quite possibly my favorite Iron Maiden song and it has a kick ass solo that goes between the guitarists that will own your soul
#7 Stream of Consciousness (Train of Thought)- Dream Theater- This is once again Petrucci ripping the guitar to shreds and creating mass destruction with this kick ass solo
#8 Guerilla Radio (Battle of Los Angeles)- Rage Against the Machine- There's just something about this solo that hooks me, Tom Morello uses some sweet effects to bring out the awsomeness of this solo
#9 Dance With You/Run to the Water (Distance to Here)- Live- Yes, that is the band name… These aren't the longest of solo's but I love them and think that they fit so perfectly with these beautiful songs that they just stick in my mind all day whenever I hear them.
#10 Top Gun Anthem (Top Gun) Harold Faltermeyer/Steve Stevens- I loved the movie and I love the song, great song with some amazing guitar fillers and of course the solo
