What new bands are you into these days? The Katatonia album you listened to was Dethroned and Uncrowned? If so, probably that is a bit weird because is an "acoustic" version of their previous album, which I like a lot, and so if you are not used to it, it can be strange. I can not name a favorite album. It is like TOOL for me, hard to pick one.

I am still always here ;) Tbh I don´t even remember how it sounds like. I am much into the new Katatonia. I think is really neat what they did with the songs of Dead End Kings. No upcoming concerts for ya?

Long time, no talk. I am listening to the new Karnivool and thought about you. How did you like it?

Also, I revisited Caspian on the train ride home last night - Thanks for recommending them to me, they will definately be getting a lot more play time from now on :D

I'm liking Jakob quite a bit thanks (listening on bandcamp) - Do you know of anywhere I can buy their CD, or is it only available digitally? I just discovered with help from Whirlpool, a band called *shels, they are brilliant! I started with this song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEmiU4jHnRI so if you get the chance check them out :)

Mmm, I've got the new sleepmakeswaves but haven't got around to listening to it yet for similar reasons to what you said. Shame about Pure Reason Revolution but cheers for saving me the trouble.

Thanks bro! Umm in regards to Pure Reason, I wouldn't bother with any of their other albums, they turned massively pop techno in their second album, quite a shame really :( I'll check out that album you suggested for sure :D Thanks!! I've listened to Caspian a little bit back when I was discovering the wonderful world of post rock, they fell by the wayside as far as listening time for me due to the sheer amount of music I got from different bands at the time, I'll revisit them on my train ride home from work :) I had quite a few post rock bands that I used to listen that haven't been scrobbled cos I predominately listened to them on my mp3 player - and was unaware of QTscrob at the time :( (For instance Russian Circles should definately be in my top 8, I pretty much listened to them for a month straight when I first discovered them) I've been listening to sleepmakeswaves new album from their website the past few days, so if you haven't heard it yet definately highly recommended!

wow that Tesserac T track is awesome! according to their website they're playing in Melb on the 31st? anyhoo, yeah, if I have the funds and the time I'll mos def check em out. sounded sweet! That latest Deftones album is SOO good you really should get on it :) some of their finest work IMO. And yeah I did get into Russian Circles thanks to you :) looks like I need to start saving some pennies... prob not going to Roger Waters even though I'd freaking LOVE to... but yeah, financial state not good. hey if you want to go to a free gig in Thornbury on the 21st, RSVP to this http://soundsafterdarkmelbourne2011.eventbrite.com/ It's My Disco, Tumbleweed and another band I don't know....

Hey yeah, (forgot to reply to your post the other day), it sounds like we're living parallel music worlds... I haven't seen a gig for god knows how long now, might have been Deftones... actually no, I saw Seekae a couple of months ago... and as for buying music, i'm so broke now that I'm a student I can't afford new music and still get the guilts (mostly due to where I work) doing the naughty free d/l thing :) (although I'm sure i'll get over that guilt eventually!) I'm yet to hear the new explosions as we never have enough copies at work so I can listen to it :( I should just save my pennies and buy it. Student life is boring but i'm still enjoying the degree :) just wish I had more time and money to do stuff. What are you up to these days??

Hey, sorry if this seems a bit random, I was looking up Pink Floyd bootlegs and saw your thread, would you happen to have a link to the show in your post "1974-11-16: Wembley Empire Pool, London, UK"? I've been looking for Dark Side tour boots and yours seems to have the best review so, thanks. Feel free to drop it in my comment box.

Katatonia is pretty good. Check the new A Storm of Light, I think you will like. You got in Australia some really nice bands. I´d love to see Karnivool but it seems they never leave Oz. My calendar is ok considering I am in Brazil. I might go to Portugal in July or August and catch come festivals, if not I may end up going to Cali and catch some bands there. I already have a plane ticket. I just need to figure out when and where ;)

Hey there stranger... yeah so I've been a bit distant from the ol' last.fm of late... just been busy studying and not listening to much while i've been doing that... my itouch is retarded also and won't sync or scrobble which kind of sucks. I don't know Amplifier but am just getting my grubby hands on it now as I type :) I didn't know bout Explosions album either. Been pretty broke of late so haven't bought anything new of interest.... How you doing? I see you're attending a Mars Volta gig soon??? they back in Oz again? they freaking love it here by the looks of it.

Hey you. I have The Octopus but I think I heard only once. I have this habit of getting everything, listen only once or sometimes never and forget about it :s Do you like A Storm Of Light? Their new album was released last week and I like it a lot. I looked at my last shout here: did you get to hear Katatonia? They came to Brazil in February and I went to the show. It was very good. I don´t see any concerts on your calendar! Did you give up concert going?

Lucky! My personal favorites are: The Great Cold Distance and Last Fair Deal Gone Down. Viva Emptiness is very good too. Perhaps a good start would be The Black Sessions, kinda a best of Katatonia.

Unfortunately I never had hopes TOOL would come to Brazil. I wish I were proved wrong, but I doubt. I am ok. Working a lot. I´ve known Anathema for awhile but it was their latest album who really caught my attention. I really like it. My bf saw them a few wks ago and they played the whole album. He said it was very good.
