Thanks for opening my mind to new artists. I can't get enough of this Rdio, combo. This is where music is today and it will only get better. (Also, nice to see you on flickr.)

Oh, Crompsy, holy shit! The Fall's "Complete Peel Sessions 1978 - 2004" - do have it, have you heard it!? After waiting many weeks for Amazon to deliver it on backorder (for only $30-ish for six-discs... not bad), it arrived to me today. Lotsa great live in-studion version, as anybody could rightly expect. The version of "New Puritan" is STAGGERINGLY intense, though - if-you-see-Kay-ing awesome!! Beg, borrow or steal to hear it, man!

AH, yes, rovicorp... You know, I dug the printed AllMusic guides years back when they were just one among many reliable sources of music-info, each with their own biases. I'm getting totally fucking annoyed by allmusic/rovi's primacy these days, though.

Same was true in Lala, though, and apparently so in MOG, too, Crompsy. I still don't get precisely how it works but it appears these streaming-sites access a common supply of tracks because they all perpetrate the exact same gaffs (like that "Perverted By Language" with the Helloween cover-graphics... WTF?).

Prepare yourself for disappointment then, Dave, 'cuz most of what else is filed there is by a different same-name group. I believe that only "Arc Lite" is theirs at present. Let's hope "Heaven's End" and "Fade Out" become available.

Many thanks for getting a finger on Loop's "A Gilded Eternity," Crompsy. I've been dying to give it a listen and all but given up hope that it'd ever show-up (it was included the only time I have ever traded in CDs for credit and I missed it ever since!). So good!

I saw - and really enjoyed - the Scott Walker film. It moved me to explore some of his later stuff - some of which I like. He's a unique character... (esp. for one who came up in the 60s/70s.

Hi Crompsy! Happy Holidays! I see Nilsson in your library. I've always liked him & he's been coming back around for me lately... I have a documentary about him in my Netflix queue that I haven't seen yet... ♡
