Top 3 are Afraid of Everyone, Conversation 16 and Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks for me. But it's a brilliant album and it gets better and better every time - I still have more "history" with Alligator so it's my favorite, but High Violet is def up there with Alligator and Boxer. So good.

i just had a real hard time finding the melodies on Ys and the song structures might have been a bit too complex for me to get on one listen - but i think here she's managed to make what is def a very melodic album without sacrificing, y'know, sophistication or whatever. in other words: yeah, i'm impressed!
