Howdy again! Sorry for the delay in response. Everythings going swell for me, discovering more music and seeing as much live music as I can. Working my butt off at work and just generally enjoying life as much as I can. Got the new Malefice album today on pre-order and Wow.. I'm blown away by it, truly!

Everything is going superbly, I have to say! Just got back from a weekend in London, I saw Sigur Ros last night and it was one of the most astounding things I've witnessed! Hows everything going with you?

Yeah, I wish my parents liked metal and got me into it. It was a very gradual process for me. Wasn't until 2004 I started listening to it, really. Haha! Then I declare your Mum officially awesome! That is so cool. :D That sounds good. Yeah, hopefully you'll get a job like that. That would be so great. Oh I see, that's fair enough. Haha, good plan, I like it. :) Awww, that's a shame. That's cool that you're managing to include so much metal in your work. I respect that. Hahaha! :D Yeah. Might possibly need to change that. Unless of course, by some miracle, your lecturer is a die hard Sabbath fan. :P

You should! It's their best album in my opinion, but you should also check out Appeal to Reason, Endgame and Siren Song of the Counter Culture - I dunno how much you've already listened to though. They're my all time favourite band :D

Well, I always go to gigs on my own but I would never go to a festival alone. I think you're very brave to do that. That's good that your Mum likes metal. I can't see my parents ever liking it although Dad quite liked SOAD when he saw them on the Download highlights. Ah, that does sound awesome. Very lucky. Wow, really? I'll have to join that forum and find out more about that. I could definitely do something like that. I'm shy and reserved to but at least I wouldn't be going to Download alone. Awww, doesn't surprise me. Oh really? Awesome! So what are you studying to give you the privilege to talk about heavy metal bands?

I had a feeling that's where you might have seen them. A lot of people I've met on this site went to that festival. Sadly there seems to be no-one I've met in the South Wales area that likes metal so I haven't been able to find anyone to go to a festival with since 2010. Really sucks because I've missed seeing some awesome bands. I'm sure I'll see them eventually though. :) Wow, that would be awesome. I think it all counts. I think that's a really good idea. Especially at festivals where the acts clash. That was the good thing about Sonisphere. The acts on the main 2 stages didn't clash. Awww, sorry to hear you're finding it so tough. I'm sure you will make it but it won't be easy. Lots of tears and swearing along the way, no doubt. Like I said, I wish you luck. :)

No worries. :) Ah, thanks a lot, very kind. My list is much shorter than yours but I'm happy with who I've seen to date. :) Very jealous you've seen SOAD though. They're #1 on my wish list of bands to see. Was even hoping to go to Sweden this Summer and see them at a festival there but can't find anyone who will go with me. Awww, I've been there and know exactly what you're going through. Not something I ever want to go through again. Wish you lots of luck with it. I'm pretty good thanks. Day off work today so I did a little tidying and went to the gym for the first time. So gonna ache tomorrow. :)

I sorry, I can't say about Heavy Metal, but in Modern Metal\MDM we have Save, Horizon 8, Scartown, Nancial, etc. In Death Metal - Septory, Neverending War. Actually I more like russian Metalcore\Deathcore such as My Autumn, Recipient13, Kambodge, Слёзы, etc. =) I don't know whether you liked it, but I hope =)

lol, in my town often played some local bands, but people don't want to go to such gigs =( it's very sad cause actually there are many young (and not young) groups that have perfect music and performances =(

  • MetallFist

oh, that great. as I can remember, in Russia only 2 or 3 festivals which headed by world-class band =( but many festivals with so-called "russian rock", believe me - it the worst music on our planet! but it very popular and I think it's very sad =( so I compelled to go to the show of one band. + I live in small town - Pskov - and I need to go to Saint-Petersburg about 300 km to see the show of my favorite(

That's awesome :) you'll have to catch my extreme unholy hellnoise horde once we start travelling. Done our local pubs twice, then London (for Terrorizer Magazine, after hearing of our first gig, opening for Infanticide), then a bigger local pub. Weird... ;)
