Hi , I saw that you listen Linkin Park, and maybe you will like the video that I made for their song - "Wretches And Kings". In the video you can see quite good effects and sync. I made it for 2-3 days, so I hope you enjoy it ! Here is the video -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIMo1WoHcfE

he could sing well for the most part before we started touring but it became obvious the more shows we played that he wasn't taking care of his voice. We only recorded his vocals on maybe four songs while in the studio because he either wouldn't write melodies to them or he sounded terrible and we couldn't. I loved that dude like brother believe me and wish him all the best but Matt is better in every way.

lol it happens when you don't take care of your voice and smoke constantly and drink 5 dr. peppers a day on top of never getting enough sleep on tour. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be rude at all, I'm just telling ya how it is, I mean, he used to be my singer so I of all people would know. If you go check out "the virgin wolves" you'll here the direction he was trying to go in, vocally at least, with Sleepwalking. It's a blessing that he quit honestly.

Cheers :) I remember checking out Maximum the Hormone a while back but wasnt too keen on it. I'll give it another try. I'd actually rather they sung in another language so I dont feel like a fag listening to love songs haha. I've heard of Utada but theres so much j pop out there I usually just stereotype it into one group.

Utada is somewhat popular, I don't think many people cared so much for TITO. Have you heard midori? They're pretty cool and psycho. And another album that I highly recommend is 'Togawa Fiction' by Jun Togawa. Also Mass of the Fermenting Dregs are worth checking out. Not really post hardcore bands, but all pretty interesting anyway. Hmm Mika Nakashima I believe is fairly popular, I'm not a huge follower of the pop stuff, although I like Utada and Ayu equally. And I know its not Japanese- but you should really check out Converge if you havent already. If you need help finding any of this stuff let me know and I'll help you out

Heh, my gf is the same when it comes to that. She hates it when we go out with her friends to karaoke or wherever cause her friends are all really flirty. Im heading to Tokyo next week so that should be intersting, I have never been to any other big cities apart from Osaka and Kyoto. Osaka is really cool but I was bored to tears in Kyoto, not one single good nightclub :-p. Oh, and I always laugh at the people on here arguing about Ayu vs Kumi vs Utada vs Namie etc etc, cause they aren't really that popular here anymore anyway. Its all about Perfume and GACKT along with a whole bunch of terrible visual kei bands and boy bands. At least Shiina Ringo is still pretty damn popular though

Yeah its pretty cool. Although sometimes I feel like a really sleazy teacher like that guy on Azumanga Daioh. But c'mon. Japanese school girls. There are 27 year old women here that dress as school girls to pick up men ha ha.

Heh, not really much. I know it on a functional level but can't read/write it very well. But I don't really need it for my job. I teach year 12 students and the lessons are completely in English

I always get from CD Japan if ordering online, but most of the time I just get them from the local Giga (I live in Sapporo).

Sup man. You're the guy with the closest taste to me who like some Japanese music (even though we're not that similar) so I was wondering if you could advise me on the pop over there in japan (or asia)? The only stuff I've heard is Shiina, are there other artists who write good pop like her or is she just one of a kind in that music scene?

À propos de moi

My name is Chase. I live in Denton, Texas, and I'm a student at University of North Texas. I'm studying to be a doctor. In my free time, I play video games, read, watch cartoons, etc. I got a Last.fm account at the suggestion of my girlfriend Brittany (sakurairo on last.fm).

I have diverse taste in music, including post-hardcore, metalcore, alternative, and a few screamo bands, as well as Asian pop and rock, which I picked up from my girlfriend. I also like hip hop, pop, classical, all kinds of orchestral music, video game & movie scores, etc etc etc....

Artists I would suggest to people include Memphis May Fire; Enter The Collector; Oh, Sleeper; ....
