Oh yeahh I heard about Primer but I didnt get the chance to see it yet :/ I want to though =) Just one thing, the music from Shane Carruth I was listening to was his 2nd soundtrack for his new movie Upstream Color that looks really visually stunning! Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U9KmAlrEXU

I hate that sell out bullshit people pull when a band get big. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's great for a band when they get big. Isn't that everyone's goal, to get big and pretty famous and sell records? Why can't people just be happy for them instead of whining. I think Dookie is one of their best records to date, no matter what people seem to think. I guess I'm one of those teenies, as I started listening to Green Day after American Idiot was released.

Thanks for your shout! I totally agree with you. I think you can tag Dookie as pop punk, but the latest two of their albums are some kind of alternative rock, at least in my opinion. I think their two first albums could be tagged punk though, because they were less commersial and more DYI then.

You definitely gotta listen to the rest too.. Old Ramon is in fact the only RHP I haven't listened to yet, it seems to be generally the least acclaimed one, and I really dislike its cover.

Yea he most certainly can't, most songwriters are at the peak in their 20s, and he's passed 40 now so.. I think the best album is the first self-titled (Rollercoaster) though.. dont know if you've heard it..

..agreed, in 'Medicine Bottle' Kozelek's lyrics sound very different. I couldn't imagine him singing like that nowadays.. But those vocals are so damn beautiful. As well as the lyrics.

Hello. Well, it is very different from Cookie Mountain and I was disappointed with it at first, but it's really grown on me and now I like it just as much (if not more) than Cookie Mountain. It's definitely worth listening to at least!

And also love Bone Machine - it was my first touch with Waits, about ten years ago. I'm looking for his hmm... experimental track I heard on the radio with some repetitive phrase but dunno the title...

Thanks for good advice but I'm afraid I know all of his albums :) My Lastfm's charts aren't precise :)

Panic? PANIC!? I'm not panicing....AAHAHAHRHRHH. But really, I know what you mean. I sometimes don't feel like replying to things, but at the same I feel guilty for not doing it. I felt the complete opposite to that just now; the urge to write to, or maybe even have a conversation with, somebody.
