Mon 1 Feb – City and Colour, Two Hours Traffic
In a room filled with people wearing thick rimmed glasses, plaid, and beards, it must have come as a shock to many when he came out clean shaven, short haired, wearing a plain coloured button up shirt and suspenders. He started the show off alone at the microphone with his acoustic guitar singing Comin’ Home. Of course this caused a mixture of shouts, hoots, and hollers which only grew to a deafening roar when he sang the lines “I’ve been to Nova Scotia, Sydney to Halifax”. It is always a treat when a non-local artist name checks your city. Towards the end of the song he was joined by three members of his band who accompanied him throughout the night for the majority of his songs. Next played Waiting off of his latest record Bring Me Your Love. This was followed by a cover of the song Murderer by Low which sounded great although it was unfamiliar and didn’t draw much of a response from the audience...
