I don't really hunt down first pressings and the like (usually the goodies on re-releases are enough to persuade me to buy them), but I have shelled out a good $20+ for imports and otherwise rare CDs - Dover's I Was Dead for 7 Weeks being one of those. I'm currently trying to save up $50 to buy this one OOP 90s prog-death CD I found online.

I don't see anything that I'd give an arm and a limb to own, but still, that's pretty impressive. I have about 145 that I've been collecting since about mid-2010 - not bad for a 15-year-old with no job, I guess.

Whoa. I just looked at your collection that you linked to from your MA profile...damn. How long have you been amassing that?

I have recently been privileged to attempt to clean up the hellish pits of the music forum, yes... :D My complete listenings aren't on last.fm, since I have been too lazy to rip a lot of CDs and several of them (like the Rush collection) have resided in and on top of my basement stereo for years. Dax is one of my favorite singers though, he has a great voice and he's a pretty good songwriter too.

No worries mate. =) I left a shout on the Aderlating page telling people to fix their tags, but Last.fm users, being almost the same as YouTube users, probably aren't gonna listen. xD

Ah yeah, "L'Arrivée De La Terne Mort Triomphante"... I should really order that sometime. xD *still feels guilty for listening to shit he hasn't bought back yet* And the typo was the last track... "A New Plaque for Every Triumph". Mories meant to write "Plague"; I e-mailed him asking about it, and he confirmed my suspicion, promptly closing the e-mail with "- nories". Poor man needs a better keyboard; or at least some proof-reading skills, LOL.

*flips through your Musiksammlung collection like a house-guest flipping through your magazines* Aderlating, eh?? Nice! Was a great album, that (Shame about the typo though).

Hallo =)...

a volcano, crafted with a relaxing feel to it ...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To whom it may concern:

Not much to say here, except that I absolutely worship music as a whole and seem to get sucked deeper and deeper into this vortex of deliberately arranged sound with each day gone by. And I'm going down laughing.
My life apart from loud sonic orgies isn't particularily noteworthy. I study, drink, perpetuate laziness, ooze out cynicism and let myself be mezmerized by world's intricacies. I hate getting shot in the foot and love finding money on the street while masturbating. Such is the fractal mosaic of my personality. I'm also into young women and guitars. Even better, combine the two and you've got yourself a deal.
Anyways, feel free to drop me a line if you deem my charts awesome or this section witty enough to warrant a response.

My domains of choice are rock and metal in all their glory and diversity. Nevertheless, as there's too much other great stuff out there fitting into neither of those, I feel compelled to roam other musical realms with great interest and this infamous open-mindy thingy.

Yet, generally, as one inhabitant over at the MA put it:

"Thick production, heavy bass, chunky guitars, everything a fat man could want."

I am not a fat man in the narrow sense of the word, however I do like my guitar tone edible and my riffs spicy. Which brings us to another related issue.

THE MAN. Not negotiable.

I use this site mostly for stats and correlating my listening habits over time in general. I'm very anal about my tags, both kinds. The social component is a factor as well, as I'm eager to meet new people with something resembling a taste in music (regardless of texture). And women of course. Bare-breasted amazon huntresses listening to Sheavy, Cathedral, the Spiritual Beggars and Anaal Nathrakh preferably.
Considering the discovery of new music, last.fm's recommendation system is pretty nice, but far from perfect and I get my fresh bandware mostly from other sources and manual labour anyway, so that's only a bonus at best.
I don't really write journals as I don't feel like I have anything meaningful to say, though I would most likely pour out top-hundred-lists by the dozen if I wasn't such a lazy fuck.

Now go enjoy my epic stats.
