I definitely agree about Dr lol. That song had to grow on me but when it did it became one of my fav Namie songs ever. Kuu's new ballads are so pretty, I just heard them the other day. I think it's one of her strongest singles yet. Glad your test went ok too lol, I remember those days of waiting te last minute to study. I was such a horrible student xD

I really should listen to them more ^_^ Namie's Style album is my favorite. As for BoA, yes she came out with Identity in February. Personally I think The Face is a better album but Identity is still good.

I know, I have no money either. All I get is temp jobs, but there's like two months in between those. AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH. Oh, I had to have one because I'm so anemic it scares everyone and I haven't had one in a year, plus they wanted to look for sickle-cell trait (DNW). And college...yikes. I STILL have LSU breathing down my neck wanting their money.

I love how Namie never fails to release hot singles. She's seriously released some of my all time favorite dance songs. So flawless. Haha oh no, I hope you're better prepared for you test at this point. I'm just the same as you though, I usually let things linger until the last minute and begin to panic. I'm doing good too, thanks. Your avatar reminds me that I need to start following up on Kuu again. I love her, but it's be hard for me to follow J-Pop lately. She just released a new ballad, right?

It's a great song. It's wonderful that she can sing so nicely in both languages.

Uhm let me see I have more than one favorite album xD Original Album >>> BITTER AND SWEET Best Album >>> BEST II English Album xD the only one that she has Cross My Palm Wow you like kumi koda too, I like her a bit. But I’m really disappointed with her TATTOO cover version. I was expecting more from her in terms of voice and performance because I know that kumi koda likes akina nakamori because in some music station specials kumi koda was always singing to herself akina songs when where exhibited and probably akina is a referent for kumi koda.

(con't) One of the things that irked me about K-pop was a new group being shat out every time you blinked. As far as soloists go, I just like BoA, SE7EN, Son Ho Young, and Ivy. I only like three boybands (TVXQ, SS501, SHINee) and several girl groups, and that's it. :| I tend to get confused if it's not in English, French (I was almost completely fluent in that language before I started Japanese), or Japanese. I've been in VA since I was six months old. I live in the boring part, too. Everything's off to the east and far north, starting in Richmond and Fredericksburg. And have you heard of Chris-chan? DDD8

LOL, W&M was my first choice of schools, actually, but I ended up being accepted at LSU instead. IIRC, I was born in Baton Rouge and I got the Legacy because my biological mother is a LSU alumnus. College. is. SCARY. I was having panic attacks my first year because I was trying to do too much ): And I was running out of money really quickly, and I had two roommates that I HATED. It was quite stressful. And, you know, I don't get why they need to visit nearly every day, when my profile HARDLY CHANGES. To me that's as bad as staring at someone. Hahaha, it's my cousin's fault I want to major in Japanese at W&M: he went to Japan to study abroad while attending W&M, brought back a girl (she's so nice and pretty, OMG), lived in Japan for a few more years after that, then came back. Their kids are akljdfklgjdflk; ADORABLE. I want Blasian babies someday *KICKED*

It's so creepy, OMG. D8 I think some of them forget that subscribers can see who visits their pages and act like I can't see them. As soon as I actually say something to them, though, they STOP. I know a few hundred kanji right now, but since I'm not in school I'm focusing more on the grammatical aspects, particularly the plain form. I hope I'm not too rusty when I return to school o_O I'm not too into K-pop either - I think it's because I listen to so much J-pop and am currently learning Japanese, and it messes with my head, and plus most of it sounds PAINFULLY SIMILAR (there are some groups and soloists I DO like, though). I was majoring in International Studies and minoring in Graphic Design, but I'm probably going to transfer to William & Mary, since it's closer to home, and change my major to Japanese, since they offer it there. Even with a legacy scholarship from LSU I was still paying out the wazoo because I was an out-of-state student. D8

I'm trying to find more people to talk to as well...but most of these people only seem interested in visiting my page 950360596590 times a week without trying to add me or start up a convo or anything, and it makes my OCD go CRAZY, so that's why I'm going on a bit of a bitch-fit in my sidebar -_-'' I have my shoutbox closed off to non-friends to keep trolls and spammers out. I've been learning Japanese for four years now. I taught myself at first, and then when i started college in 2008 (late bloomer, heh) I took two years of it at LSU. Right now, though, I'm on a break because I can't afford to go to school out of state...or IN-state (VA), for that matter.

http://www.last.fm/group/We%27re+African-American+and+we+LOVE+J-pop%21 There was one for Black J-pop lovers long ago as well, but I couldn't find it and I think it died anyway. I need to approve whatever members there are pending. I've been into J-pop since spring 2004, after a friend burned me a CD that was a combination of J-pop and American music to listen to on my class trip to France (not Japan, believe it or not - I would get to go there a year later). After Youtube was invented, that's when I went crazy with J-pop and I haven't looked back since. heh heh.

For me it's probably either Crimson or Cruise. Crimson somehow always seemed like this neat little package that's all-around enjoyable and then there's the melancholic rainy day soundtrack that is Cruise :). Fushigi took me quite some time to grow into liking it but nowadays I find it quite exotic and interesting. Back Door Night and Wait for Me are some groovy tracks! And I feel the same way about the liking the peculiar mixing especially when compared to the tracks revisited on Wonder as those sound a bit dull due to the conventional recording. Akina's over the top take on Fushigi is also a bit more satisfying, though I do like some of the delicious elegance on Wonder too :P. Have you seen this performance from 1987? I just love how it gets all trippy during Marionetto XD.

yeah, it's a pretty unusual sight when it comes to the current youth being interested in Akina xD. I was pretty amazed to even find other Finnish fans of her since the average J-pop fan here is either into cutesy bubblegum pop girls or visual-kei rock. Do you like all of her material or more of the later albums like DIVA?
