I was surprised that Cheerleader was played so early (that song really kicks ass) … and, you know, a wee bit bummed that only one track off Marry Me made it into the setlist, BUT, Your Lips Are Red as the closing song was one of the most awesome performances I've ever seen and I was ready to leap off the balcony (I was on Level 2) just to be closer to Annie as she rocked out in the crowd. I love her Pop Group cover so it was great to see that live, and playing all but one song from Strange Mercy had the much-needed effect of warming me up to the album a lot more … although Marry Me does remain my favourite.

Watching Annie play is something special, her talent is just … fucking … apocalyptic. The fact that she's also holy shit beautiful only makes her more post-human. So glad to have finally seen her live. :)
