paulgear Haven't heard Momentum, yet, other than the singles released online. Neal's singles are usually a poor reflection of the original track (case in point: The Separated Man), so i'll wait until i get the whole album... ;-)

CrescendoProg Thanks bro! i will check some of the composers you mentioned... to be fair, i really like daring and sometimes dischordant classical music (like Schöenberg and Stravinsky), but i also love some good and well composed symphonies, like Beethoven Thanks, see ya

CrescendoProg It`s great that you listen to a lot of classical music., it seems you like Beethoven a lot... i don`t listen a lot classical but i love some Stravinsky, Strauss and of course Beethoven!... but i don`t have a good collection, i only have (complete) the 9 symphony of Beethoven and The Rite of Spring from Stravinsky... some recomandations?

CrescendoProg According to Last Fm we have an "Excellent" in musical compatibility, i am really new in this site, i have less than 2 weeks, but it seems nice to see that someone listens to similar music... If this is too long... i just want to say that your musical taste is great, see ya!

paulgear Re: The Separated Man - all i can say is that since the first moment i heard it, it has been my favourite song of all time. I think the arrangement really brings home the meaning of the lyrics, and its progression from the pop sensibilities of "I'm in a cage" to the incredible acoustic guitar solo by Phil Keaggy to the orchestral section is awesome. But if it doesn't ring your bells, Neal Morse has plenty of other great songs... ;-)

paulgear Hey there - just found out there's a prog connection for ApologetiX: their keyboard player is joining Neal Morse's band: http://www.apologetix.com/news/news-details.php?news_id=2236

paulgear BTW, what's the deal with Pain of Salvation? I'm in awe of Daniel Gildenlöw's skills after seeing him on the Transatlantic DVD, but Pain of Salvation's music seems ponderous and dull in comparison.

paulgear Glad you found something new! ApologetiX have some great stuff. The vocalist was a bit patchy in their early days, but he's worked on his skills a lot and is the real deal nowadays. He manages to pull off so many different vocal tones...
