smiling on C-SPAN
as long as the question
of 9/11 is shelved
put on the back burner
like cold spaghetti

the question

who stood to gain
most
from that tragedy
oil industry?
intelligence community?
Israel?

weapons industry?

we must be clear
oil...multinational
but with American slant
for oil fields
intelligence...American
with slant towards usurping and being usurped...towards police state
the exponential increase in surveillance
Israel...geoopolitics
obvious

this is not to say that any of these parties are guilty
but
like the great Bob Dylan
it raises questions

the official theory
by the victim country (US)
is that 19 Muslims were so extraordinarily smart
as to pull off the perfect terrorist attack with utmost precision
yet
were not smart enough
to anticipate the geopolitical repercussions
of their actions

this does not make a whole lot of sense

and so
as long as American intellectuals
care more about
their bank accounts
their amazing luxury cars
their false sense of philanthropy

as long as they do the easy thing
they are the true traitors of the moment

but it is hard to blame them too much
because they have lived all their lives
in a perpetual decline of any redeeming principles

but like our dear CIA
there must certainly be good eggs
among the intellectuals

would that they heard this
and put aside their egos
to step forward now
