Post-metal
Le post-metal est une nouvelle vague de musique expérimentale inspirée du metal. Ce mouvement est en majeure partie américain, mais il inclut aussi quelques groupes japonais. Des groupes comme Isis, Sunn O))), et Earth sont de certaines manières proches du doom metal mais ils partagent le même public que les autres groupes de post-metal. When sludge gets really doomy it can become atmospheric without becoming post-metallic. Examples are CORRUPTED and FLESHPRESS. So post-metal is the better name for this genre. The term 'post' is ok either since the bands seem to take a different approach to their music than most metal bands do. It is hard to explain, but if you're a metalhead you know what I'm talking about.
