Politics ruins music. politics isn't about one's soul but about one's greed and lust for power. West coast rap may be cheesy at times but it has nothing to do with politics and that's why I listen to it.

its disturbing that the bands that get noted for being "political" bands are the ones that put their message right in your face, obnoxiously, while there are many other "political" bands with, in my opinion, better political messages. the only difference being they don't go "FUCK THIS DESTROY THAT" even if they believe in that, just saying it so bluntly and matter-of-fact does not come across as well done, and does not lend itself to helping the cause it attempts to.
