The Idea behind this tag was to aggregate the music of bass Guitar players, whether they were prominent in their own right, or a given track had produced and worthy (in your opinion of inclusion) bass performance. Two things that were bothering me were the pollution of the Bass Tag and the lack of sufficient content to actually listen to a tag stream. This was during the time that Pandora was available to the world. I came to last.fm through the mashup with Pandora. A lot of albums tagged as Basically Bass were only marginally Basically Bass, but I needed to have a stream so I added these to simply create playable volume. The inclusion of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble in this tag group was such an example. Others such as Jonie Mitchell were relevant during the Jaco Pastorius period. Good to be back after so long without a credit card. God Bless DWC/Co4E
