Marcelle unpacks her record bags brought back from amongst others Berlin, New York and Hamburg, and plays some of the vinyl purchased abroad. Be it the techno from Berlin, the weirdness from outer space courtesy of Hamburg, records traded with other artists or those wonderful African LP's bought at a Brooklyn flea market, Marcelle plays them with great delight and enthusiasm.
Combined with some requests from listeners and the monthly Look Back Bore series, this brings us artists like Lyacos Pictus, Filastine, Maÿd Hubb, Lee Van Dowski, Stump, sa bat' machines, Zea, Moderat, The Ex, Sir Warrior & His Oriental Bothers International Band, karl reger & odo warth, Jazzsteppa, Heavens End, Hells Hills, Ya-Mouro and Sensational.

Catrina D'Olive won't take a nap on the fairway ... silly, silly ... has she seen me tee off? the dust collectors think Roger Moore is a bit Spanish ... that's SPANISH, not SPANNERISH .... Scout Niblett is having so much trouble with irritable bowel that she can't even acronym it properly. marley butler is checking that all Bingo players are going about it correctly and Rubus have some weighty underpants.

New albums tracks from Quasi, Bashed Nursling and White Hills won’t be the only things to have you biting off your toenails in ecstasy while listening to the Mark Whitby show in March.
An exclusive session from Dilithium Tourdes heads a long list of other reasons to be cheerful, closely followed by a cast that includes new EPs from Best Coast and Whitewater Orgasm and the long-awaited debut album from Lord Numb.
There’s another blast of Fish-related goodness in the form of melamin, eight minutes of motorcycle adulation from Moon Duo and The Rural Alberta Advantage getting their teeth into and making good a theme from an eighties blockbuster.

March's globetrotting extravaganza takes in Swedish indie from The Garlands, Turkish beats from Kirika, Canadian dubstep from Excision and Vegas' greatest old-school synthers Calvery, plus shiny new psychedelica from The Lucid Dream and White Hills and indie-prog (?) from The Grave Architects.
Also, try to guess who is the main influence on Fall Fan Dave and the Laptop Dancers.

A packed three-hour show featuring newly recorded sessions from Gregory Webster (the razorcuts; Sportique); and The Drain On The Balcony. There's a featured LP from Standard Fare, and new tracks from Mono Taxi; The Electric Pop Group; Kev Hayley; The Wendy Darlings; Air Waves; Midlake; Help Stamp Out Loneliness; the fallen leaves; and Outdoor Miners.
There's a new single from godfather of rap Gil Scott-Heron, and The Durutti Column pay tribute to their much-missed record company boss Tony Wilson. There's new electronica from Four Tet; DJ Moguai; Stimming; Exercise One; and a collaboration featuring amongst others DJ Hell and Bryan Ferry - not often you see those two names on the same record.
If your speakers have recovered from last month, I play the other side of the fine dubstep 12" by Shackleton vs Invasion; and there's a Peel's Big 45 from Jody Reynolds; as well as this month's Educating Elizabeth record by Rubin.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: The Durutti Column's debut LP "The Return Of The Durutti Column" on Tony Wilson's Factory Records originally came in a sandpaper sleeve, which would over time damage the sleeves of neighbouring records in record shops and collections.

Celebrating new album releases from a host of genius underground songwriters, there's electro pop from The Horn The Hunt, punk-pop from The Seven Inches, indie with a country edge from Emily Breeze and of course a track from "schizoprenic gay recluse" Seedhill Bruiser who's amazing debut album has just hit the shops! As usual there's a few classics from the past including a special dedication courtesy of punk-metal 90's heroines Jack Off Jill for my cat, The Child, who unfortunately can no longer collaborate with me on my radio show....a real eclectic show this month - enjoy!
