'Rose gives a lilly' reminds me of 'Shame' by Smashing Pumpkins, in a good way.

The fluttering noise at the beginning of Rubber, wouldn't happen to be sampled from A Song For Our Fathers by Explosions in the Sky?

I was expecting this to be generock indie music but I really love it. "Shook Down" reminds me of Executions-era Rilo Kiley.

Woah, I didn't know that was Daniel and Max from Cajun Dance Party. I'm glad they're doing well and still making awesome music. Seriously nostalgiad pretty hard; I was getting into their demos from myspace when I was first getting into music. The world is sooo small.

funny story involving the drummer's hair: saw them supporting modest mouse, waiting in the standing queue outside and see a guy walk across the road with an insanely impressive afro like you wouldn't forget, laughed about it, then proceeded to go into the venue and soon discovered he was actually the drummer. what a guy.

Such an awesome album. Kinda sounds like a Lo-fi version of Superchunk. Definitely reminiscent of Sonic Youth at times.

  • if-then-else

I wasn't sure at first, but the album is a huge grower. Reminiscent of The Smashing Pumpkins and Sonic Youth with a somehow modern touch.
