est un groupe de gothic metal influencé par le doom metal originaire de Brooklyn, New York. Le groupe est bien connu pour son humour sarcastique, morbide et auto-dérisoire, ainsi que pour sa musique lente, lourde et sombre. Le groupe est né des cendres du groupe Carnivore et a acquis une certaine popularité — en particulier auprès de l’auditoire féminin — grâce à des chansons telles que ‘Black No. 1’ et ‘Christian Woman’ de l’album Bloody Kisses. Leur premier album, Slow Deep And Hard, a déjà été élu meilleur album de heavy metal de tous les temps dans un sondage en ligne. Leur dernier album en date Dead again est sorti en mars 2007.

I don't think he was joking. DA was the first album in quite a while that didn't use a drum machine. Not sure if that was just for Johnny's stuff or if it went all the way back to the beginning.
