FolkBlackDoom, yeah, perhaps, who knows... Listening to Nostalgie, definitely getting similar vibe. Both sound very minimalistic and repetitive (in a good way of course). Though I wouldn't call Nostalgie "depressive"...
I've been wondering, does Trist take influence from Abyssic Hate's 1996 demo "Life is a Pain in the Neck?" It sure seems like it. I haven't found any other DSBM releases from the 90s or earlier than Trist's releases that sound a bit like "Life is a Pain in the Neck."
And to the comments about exploring deep space because your fed up with humanity... well i'd just love to take a starship and ride it around in deep space, exploring the unknown, though it would be helpful if mankind wasn't so greedy or selfish.
Wow, the space ambient/atmospheric Trist from Germany is amazing. I was listening to 'hin' when near the end i fell asleep into some kind of awesome trance.. i woke up when the next track started.. crazy.. the Tiefenrausch album is absolutely haunting! Awesome space/dark ambient stuff! I love this kind of stuff. I did check a few of the Czech Trist tracks and that is pretty good as well.. though DSBM isn't a huge favorite of mine. I prefer the raw, ambient atmospheric black metal stuff.
