1. How did you get into 29?

blink-182 - the goddamn radio...heard this song called What's My Age Again...was never really a big fan of them, but I still listen to a few mp3s I got from them. Even after they're gone from the music scene, people are still listening to them...it's all about nostalgia.

Queen - well...if you keep watching sports games on TV, then there's a 99.99% chance that the first song WILL, and I MEAN WILL...be We Will Rock You...seriously...all and all...Queen, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones were the bands that got me into rock music.

Alright, here is how this will work. There are many songs in my collection that I feel are musically better than the rest. I will, in these threads, be talking about five per journal. It's just my way of making people aware of the greatness in certain songs.

1. Buckethead- Blue Marbles Moon

I find that "Blue Marbles Moon" is one of the best songs that Buckethead has offered us on his 13-piece box set entitled In Search of the. The album as a whole is not very good, but this track is one that really stands out and calls out some of Buckethead's earlier work. It is a very nice piece, and it's almost 16 minutes long.

2. Tool- Hooker With a Penis

I never much understood the hype behind Tool, but some of their songs are just great. I found that this one, despite its humorous ironic lyrics, was very entertaining. Maynard's voice is the definition of cool. I've gotta say that there isn't much respect to be gotten from the context of this song, but how could you not love something this catchy?
