Tina Dico (born Tina Dickow on October 14, 1977) is a singer and songwriter inspired by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen.
In her home country of Denmark, she worked with the lead singer of the band TV-2, Steffen Brandt. She won a Steppeulv and a Danish Music Award in 2004 for her album, Notes, and the award for best female vocalist at the Danish Music Awards 2006.
Internationally, she may be best known for her collaboration with the English duo Zero 7 on their second album, When It Falls, with the song « Home » and « The Space Between ».
In Denmark she performs under her real name, Tina Dickow.

The name Dickow is an old slavic name. So it isn´t danish or scandinavian at all. But yes she did it because outsite of Danmark it could be pronounced in a different way. For example in Germany we would speek the "w" in the end, if we wouldn´t know that it is wrong. Because in Mecklenburg (Germany) we have a lot of slavic names and we know that the "w" is not spoken. Also citynames like Teterow, Güstrow or Bützow they were all planted and founded by slacic people in the 14th century. (omg its maybe to much info now... sorry, but I had to tell you that :-))

The name thing is because Dico sounds more american/english; with Dickow she hadn't so much success off site Denmark. That's what I've heard.
