Timothy Charles Buckley III est un chanteur et auteur de chansons états-unien, né le 14 février 1947, mort le 29 juin 1975 d’une surdose. Il interprète, avec une voix couvrant cinq octaves, une folk teintée de psychédélisme, de la musique expérimentale, teintée de jazz, funk, soul music et free jazz, au cours de sa courte carrière.
Il considérait sa voix comme un instrument, ce qu’il montre sur ses albums Goodbye and Hello, Happy Sad, Lorca, Starsailor, Greetings From L.A. et (si l’on est inconditionnel) Sefronia. Il épouse Mary Guibert, avec qui il aura un fils, le chanteur guitariste Jeff Buckley, également connu pour sa voix de trois octaves et demi, mort en 1997.

Tim was just a lot better. if as many people listened to him as Jeff, it would just make me happy that more people were listening to great music. although it would probably get annoying if song to the siren or something was used in every dramatic scene in movies like hallelujah is.

I'm guessing you have the pretentious belief that artists that are less experimental and less obscure have less worth. Besides, it's unfair to compare Jeff to Tim because Jeff only wrote 1 complete album (Sketches for my Sweetheart the Drunk was unfinished so I don't think that should count) while Tim had nine under his belt before he died.

I realized something pivotal about Tim Buckley. If you read his biography you realize that he was one of the musicians in High School, who no one really knows but emerges to semi-fame. (in his case phostumous fame) There's a Tim Buckley at every high school!
