I remember seeing this band at an all-day type of show in Lansing, MI. I went to see Ettison Clio & The Spill Canvas, but this band was super nice to talk to (playing frisbee out in the front lawn) and played a great set!! So glad I remembered them :)

@Hannah - For me it's the complete opposite. I used to make fun of how awful they were with songs like Slideshow and then when The Bell and The Hammer came out I completely did a 180 and was shocked at how much they'd improved.

Lead singer is recording new music (no offense to TRoK, but his voice is what made the band the most for me, though the music was a CLOSE second) and possibly doing something with TDaA former drummer? I can dream...

i can kind of see what you're saying maxrahr, but always straight ahead and walking contradictions are some of my favorite songs. If they were any different, I doubt I'd like the songs as much. Both songs are not too happy in my opinion, I feel like it keeps a bittersweet feel throughout both songs. In fact I feel the 'happier sounds' only makes the songs more sad. And i like it. =]

what i hate about both this day and age and the reign of kindo is how minor harmonies suddenly transit into major ones in their songs. i mean, the melody goes minor all the way and then woah suddenly it turns into cheerful pop song. i'm really messing with terms here and it's kinda hard to explain for me not being a musician but what i'm trying to point out is i mean, this might sound pretty harsh to say 'i hate' but really this tendence ruins most of the songs i might love. every time i start listening to 'always straight ahead' and it goes in the beautiful sad key i love it but as the chorus chimes in with unnecessary cheerfulness i feel disappointed. same with 'walking contradictions' and reign of kindo does this too in 'the moments in between'. i know some people who read this will be pissed but i just really needed to express my ideas although there's a very little chance they find supportance. so if want to argue or throw some words of critism at me please feel free to do so
