Groupe anglais entre post-punk et cold-wave formé à Londres en 1977 par les frères Richard Butler (voix) and Tim Butler (basse), ainsi que du saxophoniste Duncan Kilburn et du guitariste Roger Morris .
Avec leur musique morose et mélancolique, ils font toujours figure de modèles pour les groupes d’aujourd’hui. En 1981, « Pretty In Pink » fut leur 1er hit, qui fut d’ailleurs repris plus tard dans le film américain pour ados du même nom. D’autres hits tels que « Heartbreak Beat » en 1989 ont suivi, mais le groupe s’est arrêté en 1992 et après avoir poursuivi d’autres projets, ils ont effectué un retour en 2001.

Underrated band, the post-punk/new wave era did produce some good band but this is one of the greats. Talk Talk Talk and Forever Now are fantastic albums. I heart this stuff.
