Druga połowa koncertu zdecydowanie lepsza. Generalnie zagrali za mało starych śmieci, a szkoda. Chyba najpopularniejsze tracki były, ale gdzie No Good, gdzie Everybody in the Place? Gdzie cokolwiek z Music for the Jilted Generation (o przepraszam, było Poison) albo Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned? Za dużo nowej płyty.

Nagłośnienie mogło być lepsze, chłopaki też mogli nieco bardziej się wysilić, ale i tak nie było źle. Zobaczyć ich na żywo to jest pewne przeżycie. Teraz na pewno inaczej się słucha ich kawałków, włączasz stare dobre Voodoo People i wiesz, że grali ci to na żywo. Warto było się namęczyć, żeby tam dotrzeć.

1. Yeah Yeah Yeahs – It’s Blitz!
A pretty much unanimous Hotcakes decision, this album has dominated our listening this year. Taking on such a different sound to their early days, the trio have maturity oozing through them, whilst still maintaining the early vigour and life throughout the album.

This is one of those few brilliant records that delight the mainstream and alternative types alike. A truly beautiful collection of slow, fast, rousing and sorrowful songs, carried out by rigorously powerful instrumental work and vocals that we had no idea Karen O was capable of.

One of Hotcakes best live bands of the year also, Karen O can work a stage as well as I dream she can work… you know… other things.

nie zapomnę tej genialnej wersji Diesel Power która była o wiele lepsza od normalnej (której nie lubię)

Firestarter z przejściem do Run With The Wolves które było w wydłużonej wersji też świetne było...

Warrior's Dance poprzez dodanie sampli kilku staje się jeszcze lepszym wałem niż dotychczas no i jeszcze to MY POLISH WARRIORS! :D

Мой альбом мая
Как ни парадоксально, лучшим, что я прослушал в мае, стал металкоровый Black Bomb A. И тем не менее, май был для меня богат на хорошие альбомы в более традиционном для меня ключе. Просто так сложилось, что добрался я до них под конец месяца, или они настолько хороши, что я ими до сих пор не наслушался. Так что обзоры этих двух-трех релизов переносятся на июньский журнал.

Несомненно, лучший околометаллический альбом, что я слышал за последние год-два. Уже после второго прослушивания этого альбома в голову пришла мысль, что если бы пять-шесть лет назад мне в руки попала эта пластинка, а не записи :Wumpscut: или Combichrist, то сегодня мои музыкальные пристрастия лежали бы совершенно в другой плоскости. Похоже, этой французской команде известна формула идеального металкора - здесь современный звук, тяжесть, мелодичность, гроулинг…
