This sounds very pre-Pretty.Odd.
It seems to be one of the songs, that Panic screwed, when they thought that the new songs for the new album sound too much like a score for an opera(exactly an opera about wolves).
There are actually six of them.
So Panic tagged them with 6 different "emo"(not really)-soundalike-artist-tags.
Apparently this should be a rip-off/spoof on "The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus".
Yes Pretty.Odd can be compared in contrast of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. The uniqueness bounds their first album and it seems the state of being called 'emo' was too much of an ordeal for them. I love Panic, but their first album will always be what makes them special. And 'Nearly Wolves' really links to that. Still curious to where this song came from, but I'm thinking it has to be a long time ago, possible before they became famous, the lyrics seem to dictate something else. But the vocals in the background, can't seem to identify who that is. Awesome "band" nonetheless.
yeah. i refer to Panic! at the Disco and Panic at the Disco as 2 different bands, cause really, they are. They changed their sound so drastically. Pretty. Odd. seems like a really forced attempt at maturing musically. I'm sure if they just kept going, they'd have progressed into a more natural mature sound. But, when it comes down to it, it's not up to me, so i'll just enjoy what i enjoy.
pretty. odd. can barely be compared to fever since the two are so different. it's a matter of personal taste, really. musically, pretty. odd. is more advanced and thought out whereas fever is catchier and aiming for a completely different sound. personally, i dig fever more than pretty. odd. (but i'm not a fan of the beatles at all). this song sounds more like a mash up of the two sounds, which rules.
