Le groupe Canadien(Milton, Ontario) est constitué de Adrian Jewett, Ryan Lenssen, Nick Greaves, Emma Ditchburn, Sean Woolven, Simon Lukasewich et Tony Nesbitt-Larking. La plupart des membres ont abandonné leurs études post-secondaire pour accomplir quelque chose de plus artistique. Ils ont enregistré leur premier album «Underwater Cinematographer», en 2004 sous l’étiquette «Sunday League Records». Puis l’album a été remastérisé en 2005 par «Arts & Crafts records». Fait interressant; Ils sont le premier groupe, n’ayant aucun lien direct avec le groupe «Broken Social Scene», à signer chez Arts & Crafts.
