Even As All Before Us is fucking amazing. Certain elements of the album remind me of some of the early post-punk groups, but it definitely crushes them with heavy riffs and a more powerful and impassioned vocal delivery.
Lorraine Rath now has a new band that somewhat carries on the style of the Gault called Worm Ouroboros with an album out on Profound Lore. It is a little bit more prog and less metal, but still heavy, sad, winding and dreamlike. Great stuff!
I got the vinyl in last week. It's amazing. It's also worth noting that it has a different track listing than the CD: A1. Ire (Intro), A2. Obliscence, B1. Hour Before Dawn, B2. Country Road, Six Miles In, C1. Outer Dark, C2. Bright White Blind, D1. The Shore Becomes the Enemy, D2. the hidden track that appears at the end of "Hour Before Dawn" on the CD. I'm not entirely sure why they altered the running order, but the vinyl track order works fine as well.
Wow, I've never heard anything like this before. Very impressive, and as stated below, very unique. It's hard to believe this spawned from members of Weakling, and that members have gone on to bands like Asunder and Amber Asylum, just because all of the aforementioned are so vastly different from one another.
