Aaand moving on. I have only recently discovered this band but I fell in love instantly. I listened to Hazards of Love first and then The Crane Wife - think I prefer the latter but Hazards of Love is an awesome 'spectacle'.

what does caps lock have to do with grammar you ignoramus? at least i can spell. i don't use caps at the start of sentences or for 'I' cause i'm on the internet. if i was writing for real then trust me, my grammar is spot on. and that wasn't the middle of a sentence when i used an exclamation mark. it was the end of a sentence, hence why i used an exclamation to show emphasis. you fail.

Jamesiscreepy: Says the person not capitalizing the first letter of the sentence, or the word 'I', using an exclamation point in the middle of a sentence, and using caps lock. Bad grammar is annoying, but hypocrisy is far worse.

I have to agree with you, oregonianalicia. The first time I listened to Hazards I wasn't really paying attention and I just couldn't be bothered to get into it but when I actually took the time to listen to it all the way through I found it stunning. Maybe it won't have that effect on others but I think it's lovely.

Hazards is definitely their weakest release since "The Tain" in my opinion. It is nothing compared their previously albums, particularly "Picaresque" or "The Crane Wife." 'Nuff said.

Hazards of Love is fantastic for what it is, and I think the band (or Meloy, anyway), really needed to just do one full length story-telling album (because really, after The Tain EP and a song like The Island, this was the next most logical move). That being said, It's hard to listen to just one song off of it, due to the fact that the songs never really end (in that they flow into the next song). I'm really anxious for a new album that goes back to their pre-hazards (and crane wife for that matter) sound. The new songs they played on this tour kinda had a Tarkio vibe to them, which is awesome.

I freaking love Hazards of Love so much. Then again, I like most of them. People who find Hazards a disappointment obviously aren't listening to it from beginning to end.
