"Give 'Em Enough Rope". It comes to my head Lenin's quote "The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them."

Underrated as hell. Been listening to this one a lot lately and IMO there isn't a bad song on here.

@hotterthanuly: "sandwiched by two giants. Sounds like it could have been recorded within the last year." +1 Indeed!

It is no wonder to hear Blue Öyster Cultish hues on this album as Sandy Pearlman is sitting on the producer's chair. I love BÖC, and I've always enjoyed Pearlman's style and production values - I think that him combined with The Clash is an interesting collaboration. A nice album to be sure.

A good album, but doesn't really stand out as a Clash album. Not quite as ambitious as some of their other efforts, but the energy is palpable and there are gems.

i love the production on this album... the clash had such an incredible musical chemistry, they need as clear a sound as possible so you can hear how they play off each other... fuck that ascetic "punk" low budget bullshit

Good album. The production is a bit tacky on some of the songs, but not enough to ruin this album.
