The 69 Eyes est un groupe de Goth’N’Roll originaire d’Helsinki en Finlande. Aussi connu sous le nom de « The Helsinki Vampires », le groupe émerge au début des années 1990 et revendique les influences des Stooges, ancien groupe punk d’Iggy Pop, des Doors et de Motörhead.

On distingue une evolution depuis leurs debuts: les premiers albums sont ce qu’on pourrait appeler du goth’n roll, puis ils ajoutent des infliuences plus dark et plus heavy, jusqu’a ce qu’on connait maintenant, tres gothic rock.
